"How you feeling?" I asked turning around on the bed to face her properly.
"Like I just got hit by a bus" Eiriana complained shielding her eyes with her forearm.
"I'm so glad I don't get hangovers" I gloated resulting in a pillow being shoved into my face.
"I'm not even sorry because you deserved that" we both let out a laugh but was cut short by Eiriana grabbing her temples telling the both of us (yes herself too) to shut up.
"I'm hungry"
"Oh for the love of god can you please not mention food right now unless you want to see my stomach contents" she faked a gagging noise that sllightly made me heave hearing it.
"Well I'm going home to eat and when you've recovered text me" I climbed out of her bed pulling down my pyjama top as it was tucked under my boobs. How classy. Oh and big boobs suck, take it from me.
"I'm probably gonna nap anyway" Eiriana sunk down further into the bed until only her head was poking out. Not for long though as she then got the spare pillow and placed it over her eyes, only leaving her mouth and nose visible.
It was ten in the morning but the streets of Cardiff were quiet. Well, let's be honest here, the street I lived on was quiet seen as I only had to go next door. Locking the front door behind me I walked into the hallway placing my shoes in the little basket labeled with my name.
"Hey mum" I placed a kiss on my index and middle finger placing them on the wooden frame that held her photo. It was a tradition me and my dad always did when we came home.
Walking into the kitchen I notice a note left on the island in my Dads handwriting.
I've been called into the firehouse again, I'll be home as soon as I can. Money in the drawer for pizza
Love you always, dad xIs it only my parent that hides money even though you're the only ones in the house and it's meant for you? He doesn't like leaving it on display like someone will see it through the window, which is impossible because other than our garden, theres nothing to the back of our house which is the direction our kitchen faces.
I decided on cutting some cucumber into little fingers and plopped them on a plate to go with my hummus. Grabbing my lunch I went up to my room and to my favourite part, my window seat. Eiriana's mum taught my dad how to sew because he wanted to surprise me with pillows and quilts for my birthday. They were made up of all different fabrics varying from clothing of my mums, to mine and Eiri's first baby grow, to the shirt that my dad wore when I was born.
They were all special to me, and that's why it was my favourite place, surrounded by pictures of my mum, I'll always feel a part of her is here.I decided on watching Bones. I'm obsessed with crime dramas and anything about murders and crime. I promise I'm not a psychopath. I'm so interested when it comes to murder mysteries and missing person cases that majority of my family were surprised I didn't take up criminology instead of art. I tried to explain it's all okay watching programmes and reading up on things like that but I'd probably have heart failure actually being involved in things like that.
Eiri 👯♀️
I'm awake and Otis is begging us to meet up with himMe
Problems with Reed again?Eiri 👯♀️
Actually no, I apparently forgot we were supposed to meet him at Barry Island ... I don't knowMe
Okie dokie, what time?Eiri 👯♀️
Erm be outside in ten minutes petalTime to try and look half decent rather than half dead in ten minutes ... easy.
Finding the closest bench Eiri and I took a seat and waited for Otis. Otis was one of our friends who was a part of our small group which was only added up of six people, including us three. We all knew each other since school and have all remained close even though some of them have moved away for Uni or jobs. We were closest to Otis, I don't know if it was because we've been friends for longer or because he was the most weird, just like us. He was more of the darker complexion, sporting dark springy hair which I was very jealous of and would often be found patting it when I was drunk, don't ask. He was gay so he was the best wing man, for me anyway. Eiri was more interested in girls and my goal is to find her a girlfriend before the end of the year.
"Hello bitches" a very cheery Otis joined us on the bench.
"So care to tell us why you dragged us out of our beds whilst being hungover?" Eiri asked jokingly.
"Well hermits, you're both due to meet my new pal"
"What new pal?"
"The one I told you both about last week?" He waited for us to reply before realising that we forgot all about it. Our memories weren't the best "Well anyway he's new to Cardiff and hasn't met that many people yet so that's where you both come in"
"N'aw I feel homered"
"You should because he's coming right towards us now" as he finished his sentence he got up from the bench and went to greet his friend.
"Lottie" Eiri paused before finishing "isn't that the guy from the bar?" A flush of panic surged through my body making me flip my head towards Otis' friend.
You have to be fucking kidding me
"I'm going to puke" I don't think I was even joking.
Here stood the guy who blatantly rejected me last night. To make matters worse I don't look very attractive. I'm in my high waist leggings and a baggy top with my hair thrown up and a bare face.
"Let's just pretend we don't notice him" Eiri suggested.
That will work ... won't it?
