One day, out of the blue, Dad and Pops surprised the team with a trip to the woods.

When we got there, we learned from Dad that we would be staying in a cabin. I noticed that I was all the way on the other side of the house from Dad and Pop's room as well as Loki's room. Oh, well.

The first real thing happened on a hike. We were taking a short hike down from the cabin to the creek. I was walking in front. I tripped on a rock and fell over, almost falling off the trail. But Loki quickly pulled up a cloud of magic to stop me from falling.

This made Auntie Tasha suspicious. Afterall, didn't Loki like it when one of them got hurt? I couldn't hear her say this, but you could see it in her expression. I was worried, but not too much. Afterall, she had no real proof.

But she did. By the end of the week, she knew.

Me and Loki decided to go down to the river. There was a two-seater swinging bench hanging off of a tree right on the river that you could watch the sunset from. It was beautiful. Loki walked out first, not saying where he was going. This was typical. No one cared anyway. Except for me. Then I walked out, saying I was going down to the river to collect some shells. Pops had always been encouraging me to start a collection, so this seemed like the perfect disguise. Pops even encouraged me to leave.

I walked down the small, winding path to the river. It was beautiful, with large pine trees on either side and a few startlingly colorful birds flying between the trees. Bright green ferns lined the sides of the path, their triangular leaves protruding out a little bit onto the path. The path itself was nothing more than a clear strip of dirt, but its covering of dry pine needles made it almost soft to step on.

When I got down to the river, it was even more amazing. The river gurgled over the milky-grey stones gently, giving off a pleasant sound. I walked along the small rocky bank, the rocks clucking gently under my feet.

Loki was already sitting on the bench, using a small magical wind to make it sway gently. The sun daping his face and arms made him look even more beautiful.

I walked up quietly, smiling widely. We had never been able tot rule just sit there without being scared someone might find us.

I jumped up onto the bench, making it sway more than usual. Loki smiled at me and took my hand. I squealed it and kissed him. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, Peter." Loki smiled as he said the words. "I am glad we get to do this. You are one of the few people who I feel happy around."

I looked up at him, surprised. "What about Thor?"

"It's not..." He looked over at me, a gentle but sad look on his face. "It's not the same."

I nodded, understanding. I then rested his head on my shoulder and he rested his head on mine. And for a good ten minutes, we just sat in comfortable silence, heads resting on each other, holding hands. It was the most peaceful that I have ever felt in my entire life. We just sit there, smiling and feeling the others warmth as we both watch the sunset. This is amazing.

Then I heard an "I knew It!"

We whipped around, peering into the darkness. Loki had a protective arm around me and his other hand was glowing green. "Who's there?" I asked nervously.

Auntie Tasha stepped out of the darkness. "Hi."

"Auntie Tasha! Its-" she cut me off.

"I don't care. You guys are adorable." She smiled warmly.

"Just don't-"

"I won't tell." She began to walk back up to the cabin. "Enjoy the night!"

The rest of the evening was amazing. I felt like a whent had been lifted off my shoulders. Auntie Tasha knew. She would help us.

There were three of us now, not two. Three people against the world.
