Napabalikwas ng paggising. "Ouchh!!" Napahawak ako sa aking ulo sa sobrang sakit nito para itong binabarena. Tumingin ako sa paligid? "Nasaan ako?" Kahit pumipintig ang sintido ko ay pinilit kong inaalala kung bakit ako sa lugar na ito? Napaupo ako ng tuwid ng bumalik at isa-isa kong maalala ang lahat. "Richard!!! Ugh!" Pinalaklak ako ni Richard ng alak hanggang sa sumuka ako ng sumuka at mawalan ng ulirat. Muli akong napahawak sa aking ulo habang bumababa sa kama.

"I need water." Lumakad ako palabas ng kwarto. Kaninong bahay ito? Nasa second floor ang kwartong pinanggalingan ko. Nakapaa akong bumaba ng hagdan. Malaki ang bahay, moderno, maganda at malinis. Pero walang kahit anong bagay na pagkakakilanlan ng may ari. Nagtungo ako sa bandang kanan nagbabakasakaling doon ang kusina. "Thank God." Kusina nga ito. Lumakad ako papunta sa ref upang kumuha ng tubig. Kumuha ako ng bottled water at uminom. Bago balikan ang sulat na nakaipit sa ref magnet.

Nakasulat doon na may gamot para sa hangover ko at paper bag na naglalaman ng damit at sapatos sa tabi ng coffeemaker. Itinapon na raw niya ang damit kong puno ng suka. Galing kay Richard ang sulat. Nakita ang paper bag. Hinalungkat ko ito. At nakita ko ang susi ng aking sasakyan sa loob.

"Great! Perfect Amanda! Palpak ang plano mo.. Ouch!" Sumakit muli ang ulo ko. Kinuha ko agad ang tabletas sa tabi ng coffeemaker at inimon ito. Kumuha ako ng mug at nag salin ng kape. Bitbit ang kape at ang paper bag ay pumunta muli ako sa kwarto kung saan ako galing kanina.

This type of scheme is getting too old. I have to make a very drastic approach. Testing the water doesn't give results. I need something more direct and permanent. I need to stay closer; I need to stay here in the Philippines for good.
