" The race of vampyre and vorvian are (what I believe) supposed to be answers to one another; the contrast of blatant opposites yet a mutation of the same strain akin to what one conceives the relationship to be between the sun and the moon or the lion and the tiger. Ne'er to appear in the same spheres without conflict, ne'er to experience emotional phenomena in the same mortal capacity, ne'er to be bound by natural law but in a caste all of their own as dominants of our order. Their similarities are only in their purpose: to exist apart from humankind, independent of creatures that have life to give--even if their immortal lives affect every being around them. "

CREATURE TERMINOLOGY
BREED GUIDE
Dhampir: (n.) a mortal that carries a paranormal creature's blood and genetics from birth. While blessed with superhuman strength, speed and agility, these paranormal traits will fail unless he claims an immortal path of vampirism or vorvianism. They age like humans, consume human food, and sleep like humans. Dhampir that do not claim immortality are known as the unmarked.
Vampire: (n.) an immortal being that sates his appetite with the blood of living creatures. Characterized by elongated fangs, unearthly grace, cold skin, and eyes that glow as a predator's. They can turn all except vorvian (see vorvian) into their bloodline by secreting a venom from their fangs into their prey. This venom can induce states of pain and pleasure, as well as permanently mark a Turned vampire's skin upon entry to the blood stream.
Vorvian: (n.) an immortal being that has been cured of vampirism (see vampire) and finds his living in the natural world. Characterized by unearthly grace, lukewarm to warm skin, and a higher susceptibility to human emotions. He will also carry a distinct mark on the dorsal side of his hand that will grow with the amount of vampires he overcomes.
Dropir: (n., subdivision of vorvian) a vorvian that demonstrates their prowess through the use of magick and natural gifts rather than weaponry and other art forms of assassination. An extremely rare breed of vorvian.
