❝You're like the moon, I get you in phases...❞

THE SUN HAD RISEN ONCE AGAIN OVER Riverdale and the Black Hood remained silent. Things around town were status quo and everyone had gone back to their regularly scheduled programming as if they didn't have a serial killer on the loose. Of course it was present in the backs of everyone's mind but with the lack of evidence in front of their faces it was easy to ignore the truth.

Of those people acting as if everything was fine and normal was Theo Cohen.

With the Cutlass out of commission yet again (when was it ever not?), Theo found herself being faced with the loosening of parental reigns in that she had been allowed to walk to her appointment that morning. After weeks of being on a short leash with her moms Theo had jumped at the chance for a little room to run. She had taken a liesurely stroll through Riverdale that morning, taking twice as long to walk to her appointment downtown than it should have taken. And she had planned on taking just as much time to walk home when she left.

And then she walked out of the tall building of office spaces downtown to find a certain tall, dark Serpent sitting on a park bench across from her.

He rose from the bench when their eyes met and Theo barked out, "What are you doing here?"

"Heard the Cutlass was in the shop again, figured I'd give you a ride." Sweet Pea informed her.

"On your bike?" She questioned, noting the fact that his donor-cycle was nowhere in sight and he didn't have his helmet dangling off his arm. It was an odd sight to see.

"No, actually I figured I'd carry you." He tells her, the laugh that comes out of his mouth is deep, "I'm a Serpent, so yeah, my bike."

Theo stepped closer to him and lowered her voice, hissing out, "Why don't you just announce that to all of Riverdale next time, huh?"

"Embarrassed?" Sweet Pea asked her, and when Theo's eyes flicker to the group of women approaching them on the sidewalk he steps back from her and there's no anger, no hurt in his words when he tells her, "I'm parked around the corner."

And she hates herself just a little when he leaves.

"Stubborn asshole." Theo muttered to herself, crossing her arms tightly over her chest as she starts down the sidewalk.

True to his word down the side alley between two tall buildings Sweet Pea sits waiting on his bike. The corners of his lips curl upward at the sight of Theo marching toward him with her arms crossed over her chest, and somehow he managed to wipe the smile off his face before she approached him.
