"Okay," Denki started, "I'll try to get better.".
They smiled at him, gently wrapping their arms around him and entering a group hug.
He smiled truly for the first time in years.
"You can't trust them Denki, what are you doing!?" the voice whispered.
Another creak of the door was heard and Aizawa walked in, looking even more tired and dishevelled than usual.
Guilt nipped at Denki's insides but he ignored it. His friends released one another from the warm embrace and sat at the plastic chairs on the side of the bed, staring at Mr. Aizawa.
It was like he'd read Denki's mind: "You can trust them, Denki."
