The sun was shining brightly. The sound of children playing and adults laughing was filling the air. The sound of clanking of metal was coming from the blacksmith's shop.
The town was small but the people here had a very big heart. Children carried their heavy bags to the school as adults prepared to go to work. Women carried bags full of vegetable. All was well. But despair can come to any kingdom no matter how happy.
"Mr.Tusk " a women called.
"Oh hey. How are you." He said.
"I am fine but....chise, she has a high fever. It has not gone down since yesterday afternoon." There was a look of discomfort on her face.
"Oh...poor girl. Let me help her" he said.
The women took him to her house. It was a small house with a thatched roof. The inside was not much better. There was a single bed laying on the left side. A girl was sleeping there though she did not look comfortable.
The man put down his basket and he knelt down near the bed and put his palm on the girl's forehead.
"She is burning" he said.
He quickly pulled out some medicines from his basket and handed it over to the mother.
"Give it to her twice a day. If the fever doesn't go down by tomorrow morning, inform me."
He was leaving in a hurry when the women stopped him
"What about your fee, Doctor?" She said.
"Oh don't worry about it. I'll take it next harvesting season. I know you dont have much left" he said.
Her eyes filled with tears. "Thank You"

It was 6 pm when the doctor came out of his clinic. There was a lot of confused chatting from the outside which made him leave his clinic. He was a tall man with a few specs of grey in his black hair. He had a pale complexion and dark blue eyes. A straight back with a little bit of belly sticking out.
He looked at the sky which looked darker than it should. Everyone was looking up. It was like something was covering the sky. But what could be so big? The question was answered when a man screamed
"It's him.....He has come here"
"But why would he leave his castel?" A man questioned with a trembling voice.
"He is here. Everybody hide" people started screaming.
There was chaos everywhere. People running back to their homes. Or some nearby place which can hide them from 'It's' eyes. A big wing came into view. As it flew forward.
Its face was now visible. Head as big as a house. It's eyes a bright shade of red, a contrast to its face which was as dark as night.
Then the worst happened. The thing people feared the most. They had thought that it just came to wander here and go back. But as it opened its mouth, peole knew this was their last day of peace.
A hot ball of orange could be seen in his mouth. It started to come forward as the people realised what was going to happen.
"It is going to burn the town." People screamed as they ran away from where it's head pointed.
"STOP" The Doctor shouted."I WILL NOT LET YOU KILL US...DRAGON"
It's head tilted a little to the left as it swallowed the ball of lava in its throat. Then it spoke in a horse voice. Voice so filled with disgust and venom. So loud that peope had to cover their ears.
"And what can a pathetic human like you do. Who are you to command me?" The dragon said.
The doctor spoke with a straight voice even through his terror, not showing it one bit.
"I AM A FELLOW MAN OF THIS TOWN WHO WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY OUR TOWN"
The dragon growled as its mouth opened and the hot ball of lava appeared again.
"I will now show you what happens when you defy me "With that he shot flame out of his mouth burning the whole area with the Doctor. When he stopped only ashes were left of what were trees , houses and the doctor before.
"This is what happens, you pathetic humans. I am you king now. Obey me. The supreme being. You are nothing to me. Tonight I'll eat all of you and end your miserable existence" the dragon said.
People realised that they were going to die. There was no escaping it. It was a life which came to end today. Children cried as people hugged said their goodbyes, ready to die , when suddenly a voice came
"Wait! Let us make a deal"
