Alecto walked along the Black lake after she left her father behind at the shrieking shack, she was happier than ever, she met her father and got to know him a little, but inside she couldn't help but still worry.
Would he always be on the run and be seen as a fugitive, would he be captured and taken back to Azkaban or worse? She was scared of what was to come.
And then there was Snape, the thought of him kept lingering in the back of her mind. Did he want to ignore her forever and the fact that they did in fact kiss.
And as if just on cue, Alecto heard a velvety voice behind her.
"I thought I told you to stay put in the castle."
-
The green eyed girl turned to him, her eyes shining in the darkness with the little light that the moon was providing.
"No you didn't, you just said that it wasn't safe."
Snape's black eyes narrowed, "How did you get outside in the first place?"
"That's my business."
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you were helping that madman you call a father in and out of the castle."
Alecto scowled, "Don't embarrass yourself professor. You're sounding like a fool." She turned to leave but he grabbed her wrist swiftly.
"Watch your tone, Black." He warned her, glaring at her, his eyes fixed on hers.
Alecto pulled her arm out of his grip and looked at him, "Don't ignore what happened between us, Snape. You can't avoid me forever.""I am not ignoring it, I am doing what is necessary. It was completely wrong of me and I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression."
Frowning, Alecto looked at him, "Wrong impression? And what is that?" she snapped at him, obviously offended and anxious to hear his answer.
"I don't want you to get the idea that I have feelings for you because I don't.""But you kissed me!" Alecto cried out, she was really getting annoyed with this man.
"I know I did, don't you think I realised that, you daft girl!?" Snape's nostrils were flaring and he looked absolutely furious.
"And it was a mistake because you mean absolutely nothing to me and I wouldn't do it again. So get inside the castle and stay out of my sight." He snapped without thinking.Alecto stared at him for a while and looked away, she couldn't help but feel emotional when he said those words, being as strong as she was, they did hurt, possibly the only words that has ever hurt her so deeply.
With that she turned and went into the castle, made her way to the dungeons and into the Slytherin dorms blankly, she sat down on her bed and looked out of the window, her eyes meeting the water of the Black Lake.
She felt tears stinging her eyes, she had thought, or hoped that he held the smallest bit of feelings for her because of the kiss, it just felt so real to her, when in reality it didn't mean anything to him.
Alecto felt like a fool, she felt humiliated and embarrassed.
She didn't know how she'd face him again without crying or freaking out. It wasn't fair, he kissed her. And now he hurt her. Deeply.-
The next morning Alecto showed up to breakfast early, Hermione was still not sitting with Harry and Ron and she decided to join them, Harry had told her about the marauders map that Fred and George gave him and he said he was planning to sneak into Hogsmeade again today.
