"What the fuck was that for?!"
Haewon looked down only to see Lee Taeyong staring at her. Her eyes widened as she quickly covered her mouth, mostly to stop herself from laughing, but also out of shock and regret. Well not really regret but still.
"Oh sorry bro, you just freaked me out a bit. Reflexes...Hahaha....." She awkwardly responded slowly backing up.
"Freak you out? but I grabbed ur wrist? Isn't that like romantic, bro?" Taeyong spat at her, making sure to drag the word 'bro' inspite.
"Don't be so mad. Why would a random person grabbing my wrist be romantic. Either way, I said I'm sorry so I'm leaving."
"Wow. We were just trying to talk since you're Jisung's sister but clearly you don't want to talk. God, you're such a bitch." Taeyong was now standing, glaring at the girl infront of him. He was definitely intimidated by the fact that she was way too close to his height. But tried to not let it show. The pair stayed like that for a good couple of seconds before Haewon broke the eye contact. Rolling her eyes, she walked away to her department building. Not uttering a single word or acknowledging anyone around her. Left standing was an enraged and hot headed boy, his shocked friends, and speechless fangirls.
Haewon has never felt so bored. Even listening to Sweet Chaos didn't help in exciting her. She looked out the window side waiting for her mentally impaired friends to come with the food. She took off her purple hat and ran her hands through her hair. She stared at the street, the people, the cars. The whole scene just looked so peaceful to her. Peace. Something she defi-
"Enjoying the view?" Haewon looked up to see the one and only Mark Lee. She shrugged and turn her attention back at the window. Mark was probably the only boy in the whole group that deserved the popularity. Mark was calm, collected, selfless, kind, and just an all around good person. He never fed into the nonsense around him and minded his business.
"You don't seem to talk much, do you?" Mark always noticed Haewon. Not that he was watching her or anything, she just always caught his eye. She was normal, like many girls at the school, but something about her just intrigued Mark. It kind of hurt him that she wasn't responding, but he didn't really get why.
"Sorry. I'm just not into talking to people." Haewon breathed out. She felt guilty for being so awkward. She just never talked to anyone besides her close friends so she didn't know what to say.
"Naw, it's fine. People can be annoying sometimes, don't you think?" Haewon chuckled a bit. She focused her eyes on the boy and showed a soft, lazy smile. The boy's face seemed to brightened up, too.
"Tell me about it. This one guy in my class kept talking about how 'massive' he was and then some random girl just went up to him squeezed his balls and said, 'It's not even two inches!'" hearing that made Mark burst out into laughter and Haewon following suit, "I didn't even know how to feel about it! Was it gross, was it funny?"
Mark was livid. He had never heard of anything so weird before. And better yet seeing Haewon laugh this much because of him made him feel exicted in a way. "Holy shit! Why can't stuff like that happen in my classes. The only things that happen are random girls staring at me and my friends."
"Sorry man, I can't help you there. Maybe if you were born ugly..." Haewon eyed Mark up and down judgingly letting her voice trail off.
"So what you're implying is that I'm attractive?" Mark smirked, he expected a blush, a stutter, even widened eyes. but got nothing. Instead, she leaned forward and stared Mark straight on.
"I mean you aren't ugly right now, so take it anyway you want." She cooed to him and lightly tapped his shoulder before sitting back in her chair.
Mark was definitely taken aback by this. His eyes had widen a bit and he's heard many girls flirt with him. Why was it that when Haewon does it that he got effected.
Haewon started laughing at him. He just looked so funny, how could she not. His eyes were bloodshot and his cheeks were crimson red. She didn't get why he was like this, but she didn't let it bother her. Her laughs slowly died down as she noticed Mark glaring at her. Of course, she had to join in
"Haehae, we're back- what's going on here?" Jinyoung scrunched his nose in confusion. Not registering how and when Mark came into the picture.
"Y'all decided to take forever and Mark just happened to come by and we were just talking." Haewon said leaning back in her seat once more.
"I should be saying thank you for taking so long, I had the lovely opportunity to be acquainted, don't you think Miss Haewon?" Mark sat up straight neatly crossing his arms on the table with an amused smile spread across his lips.
Haewon cocked her eyebrow and the sudden properness from him, "since when did you talk so formally, just say im cool to hangout with and move on."
"Well, anways Mark, don't mind her rude self. I am Go Mirae! It's really nice to meet you," Mirae cut off the convo standing in a slightly seductive angle over Mark. She whipped her hair over her shoulder, resting it upon her hip.
"Mi, stop being a whore and just sit down," Haewon huffed thinking about how disgusted she actually was with her best friend. She loved her, but this was a little excessive for her.
Mirae jolted up right, furious, to say the least. She cocked back at her friend with a glare. Mirae switfly obeyed her friend's wishes to her own dismay.
"Right.....so I guess I should get going, huh?" Mark had awkwardly stood up grabbin his coat and bag. Haewon gave him a slight and polite wave. The brunnette boy had quickly went away.
Oddly enough, it saddened Haewon a bit. Maybe she liked making new friends after all.
