I was crying as my dad was telling me Michael's story. I never thought I would cry for Michael, but now I did. He was slowly approaching me as he finished, I could've picked the gun up and shot him, but I was too stunned to move. When dad was only half a meter away from me, Mary leaped in front of me, picked the gun, and shot him in the head. "Why did you do that, I thought you loved him?" I demanded, "Yea, he was holding a knife behind him. And I love you more than anyone!" Mary said. "Aww thank you!" I said. "Now... What do we do to them?" Katherine asked. "Let's give Michael a proper burial but dad, Let's hand his body to the police and they'll decide." I decided.
Nobody was there for Michael's funeral, only me, Mary, Jack and the kids were there. It was a very sad and quiet day. Katherine was in shock so we appointed a psychologist to look after her. Even Harry tried his best to convince her that it was not her fault. After Michael died I didn't know what to do so we went to Los Angeles. I got a job as a Real Estate guide so I was rarely busy because there are so many people where I work. With the money Michael saved for us, we could afford a Duplex flat in downtown Los Angeles. Joey went to Los Angeles high school and Katherine went to Otis College of Arts and Design as she excelled in art.
So it was a comfortable life and Mary still was the Vise-Principal of the Gilbert Public School. We lived as a normal family, and if anyone asks who my husband was, I would just say he died 2 years after my marriage. Joey still was very quiet after the incident. Alex was left to babysit with a neighbor, even they had a kid who was Alex's age so he had a friend. And slowly years passed and the date 9th of June was forgotten.
