Aliyah's POV
My plans are begining to work. Rasheed has started falling for me. It won't be long before I have total control over his heart and he will start doing anything I want. It is only a matter of time. I just have to be careful and make sure his siblings, especially his two sisters, don't ruin my plans. Those two witches have always suspected me right from day one and will do anything to get me out of the Abubakar's Mansion. I will go nowhere until my mission is complete. The Abubakar's wealth must be mine!
"What are you doing?"
I yelp and turn to glare at the intruder. It turns out to be Uthman. I quickly smile at him.
"Hello, little guy," I bend a little to be on the same height with him.
"Hello!"
"So what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be playing your video games or tapping your phone screen or whatever kids do these days on their phone?" I am surprised he hasn't complained about his fingers hurting with the way he uses them.
"Nope! I just wanted to grab a glass of juice from the kitchen. That is when I saw you staring off into space. Are you alright?"
I chuckle, "Yes, I am absolutely fine."
"My sisters don't like you," he states.
Woah!
"Um, yeah, I know that," maybe I can squeeze some information about them from him, "tell me, do you have any idea why they don't like me?"
"I don't know! I am just a kid!" he says quickly.
He is lying!
"Oh come on! You can tell me. It will be our little secret. I won't tell anyone."
"Get your claws off my brother, you hawk!"
Here comes one of the witches!
"What do you want, Ayeesha?" I demand.
"I am sure my sister already warned you to stay away from us," she utters, "but I am warning you, stay away from my brothers and I. I don't want you placing your tentacles on Uthman like you did with Rasheed. Haleemah is dangerous but I am worse."
"Oh really! Tell me, what could a teenager do to me? Do you think your empty threats scare me? News flash, girl! I am not scared! So why don't you run to your sister Haleemah and inform her that neither her nor you scare me," I sneer at her.
I hate this girl so much.
"Oh, you will regret those words that you just spewed from your mouth. Let's go, Uthman!" she turns away from me and drags her brother along.
This girl is something else. What can she possibly do? Nothing!
**************
The next dayRasheed informs me that we will be going on a picnic. I am so excited about this. I have to dress very nicely today. I have to do anything to captivate him today.
After having a bath, I decide to wear a long floral gown with side pockets and white hijab. I apply powder, eyeliner and mascara to my face. I also apply nude lipstick to my lips. I glance at the mirror and smirk. I don't look like the evil Sideeqah. I look sweet instead. The Abubakars won't know what hit them.
As I enter the living room, I can hear Ayeesha yelling.
"What!" she yells in a shrill voice, "today is supposed to be our day. You always take Uthman and I to the mall on Saturdays. You take us shopping, you take us to the amusement park, we get ice-cream, cake and take pictures. Now you're telling us you can't because you have to take Aliyah out! She is just a stranger! We are your family! Don't we matter anymore?"
"Aliyah, take a deep breath," Uthman pleads.
"Don't tell me to take a deep breath!" Ayeesha shrieks.
"Ayeesha, will you please stop screaming! I promise to take you and Uthman out tomorrow," Rasheeds begs.
I decide to step into the conversation.
"Rasheed baby, I am ready," I smile at him.
"Baby? Wow! Just wow! Now she's calling you baby. What next? Sweetheart? Darling? She is nothing but a gold digger. She is-"
"Ayeesha!" Rasheed thunders, "Stop it! You've said enough! Go to your room!"
Ayeesha gasps.
I smirk.
She glares at me and I glare back.
"This isn't over!"
"Oh yes it is! Now go to your room!"
Ayeesha scowls at me and leaves the living room with vexation.
"That went well," I remark.
"Don't worry, she will be fine. Let's leave," Rasheed tells me.
"Just a minute. I left something in my room. Let me go get it."
Yes, you may be wondering. I have been able to convince Rasheed to let me stay inside the mansion.
I make my way up the stairs to Ayeesha's room. I don't bother knocking.
I just walked into the room without a care in the world."I said that I am not hungry. How many-what are you doing in my room? Get out!"
"I just came to say a few things," I inform her as I saunter towards her bed.
I smooth some invincible creases and sit on the bed.
"Ayeesha darling, I know it's tough. To have your brother's attention taken away from you by another woman. You must be very upset. And I know you're jealous. It's okay to be jealous. In fact you should be jealous because your brother's attention won't be the only thing I will be taking," I say to her, without batting an eyelid.
She begins to laugh.
"What's funny?"
"Oh my dear Aliyah. You really do not know me. You know what? You should enquire about me from my brother when he takes you out," she comes down from her bed and walks towards me, "If you think for once that I, Ayeesha Abubakar, is jealous of a nonentity like you, then you had better wake up from your slumber. If you're done contaminating the air in my room with your presence, then show yourself the way out. I have to disinfect my room."
The nerve of this brat! What a big mouth!
"This is not over!"
"Whatever! Bounce! Use the door!"
I scowl at her and leave her room. This isn't over, Ayeesha, this isn't over.
Wow, Ayeesha is really beginning to prove that she can stand up to Aliyah. Will she be able to protect her family from the evil Aliyah or not?
I hope you're enjoying this story so far.
Till next time. ❤
