"I didn't think you were so eager to meet your father again."
Felix's words were venomous chants in his ears.
"I'm not."
Adrien turned away from the train window to face his cousin.
"Why were you so eager to join me on my one year trip for my new contract then?" Felix asked the question he dreaded. "Don't give me the crap you gave Mom. I know that you didn't just come here to keep me company."
"It's just that..." Adrien turned to face Felix in the eyes. He needed to appear genuine or else his cousin wouldn't believe him. "Paris is my home city. Despite what my father did in the past, it doesn't mean it's a bad city. I had many wonderful memories in that city too. Many wonderful memories."
He looked back to the window hastily before Felix could read the emotion in his eyes. Most of those memories were happy memories turned sad and forgotten.
"What will you do this next year? Clean the house?"
"No..." Adrien shot a confused brow at his cousin. "I'll get a job."
"Adrien." Felix sighed somewhat showing some sympathy. It was still a cold sigh. "Companies won't be that open to accept you as an employee. Your father wasn't some ordinary designer, he owned one of the biggest fashion empires in the world. When his truth came out, the Parisian public was furious. They threw many insults upon the brand and your name. You might not be a criminal, Adrien. However, you're still the son of one."
"I know." Adrien clenched his fists. Felix didn't need to rub it in. "But I already know where to work, Felix."
"Where?" Felix asked intrigued.
"DC Fashions." He breathed the name out whilst anxiously rubbing his hands together.
"DC Fashions?!" Felix stared at him like he'd gone nuts. It was amusing as it was one of the few times he sensed emotion from his cousin. "You mean the DC Fashions. The newest world-renowned fashion brand that's on every paper and social media platform you see nowadays?"
"Yeah. That's the one. I was hoping to restart my modelling career there again..."
"And you couldn't find any other company that interested you?!"
"Nope." Adrien shrugged. DC Fashions could earn him more than just a job.
"How are you planning to get into that big of a company? Did you even give this a second thought?"
"I've thought about this hard and clear, Felix. That's the company that I'm going to apply a job for."
Felix started at him dumbfounded. It was all-too amusing. Little did Felix know that his intentions were way bigger than a job.
"I'll say..." Felix returned to his stern composure. "That you have an inside friend who works there. I don't see any other way how you'll possibly get in. Though, your chances are still quite unlikely."
"We'll see, Felix. We'll see."
Felix gave him a odd look and he smiled. Getting into DC Fashions was only the easiest part of his scheme yet, he had much more to do until he finally reached his destination
Before Felix could respond, an announcement echoed through the train.
Paris Station Will Be Approaching in 2 minutes. Please mind the platform.
He was here. He was already in Paris.
Adrien looked towards his window to see the familiar Parisian buildings and the Eiffel Tower looming above them. He missed this sight. He truly did.
Running across the Parisian rooftops with his lady was his favourite hobby,
I'll bring you back, Milady.
I'll bring you back.
