The number you have called is temporarily unavailable, please leave a message and call later.

"Hey, Nino! It's me!" Adrien chirped into the voice message. "Just letting you know that it's been 8 hours since I reached Paris and you still haven't answered. Please tell me you're doing alright and call back as soon as you're free. See ya, Dude."

"How many phone calls are you going to make in one day?" Felix peeked his head out from his book. "And...This Nino guy is your 'best friend' that you've seem to be chatting with, for 10 years via numerous phone calls and text messages."

"Yeah. He's the one." Adrien sat down on the armchair opposite Felix.

"Some friend." Felix snorted. "He hasn't been answering your calls for hours now."

Adrien frowned and ignored Felix's remark. He knew all about his cousin's opinions on friends.

"Nino will call back. He's not like that." Adrien confessed. "He stood by me through those tough times, even when there was a lot of slander upon my family name. I trust him."

"Right." Felix looked back into his book. Jealous much.

Adrien looked away and gazed around. Him and Felix were sharing a simple flat near the banks of the Seine. To be honest, it was the smallest house that he had ever lived in. Being the son of Gabriel Agreste, he stayed in a mansion for his entire life and costly hotels. Moreover, the Graham De Vanilys weren't poor either. In London, they had a huge house, it was nearly as big as his old one.

This flat was small and temporary. Felix had rented it for a year as he hated hotels and there was no reason to spend so much money for this one year.

Adrien didn't mind it. It was fine. It had all the necessities and there was a great view from the window. It was fairly decent flat. However, he wasn't going to be staying here forever. He had other plans. He wasn't going to return back to London anytime soon either...

"How do you stare into distant places for a long time and think like that?" His cousin's voice interrupted his thought process.

Adrien glared at Felix. "You do it too."

"Please, you're a child when you do it. I do it like an adult." Felix huffed.

"Uh...what's that supposed to mean?"

"Facial expressions count. Your gaze looks dreamy and childish. Mine is more stern and mature. They reflect personality."

"Are you trying to imply something?" Adrien arched his brow in confusion.

"Just wondering how you managed to survive in the industry of fame for so long." Ahh...there it was. The bitter little roast Felix added to the end of their conversations. It was funny as he was the one that always started them, he would exaggerate things so much until he created the perfect moment to roast him. Adrien could roast him back but...he was...too nice.

"I wonder too." He replied instead. Wasn't a lie.

Besides, that was enough talking to Felix for today. He knew the more he spoke to his cousin the more cold he'd get. Though, per say, he wasn't a bad person. Not badder than...you know who...

Living with Felix wasn't so bad. Plagg would have hated it though!

Plagg.

He missed the kwami. Hadn't seen him for 10 years. When the miracle box moved on, their miraculous did too.

He still liked to pretend that the little guy was still there. As embarrassing as it was, he sometimes spoke to Camembert about Plagg. Knowing that he'd appreciate that!
