Bendy and Depressed Felix

Father son bond

Felix leaned against the bathroom sink again and stared at the door in front of him. It was currently four in the morning and he was unable to sleep again. His head was throbbing with every thought possibly. He had come to hate himself more and more with every coming day that passed him by with little warning. He was nothing good in this world. Simply a person taking up space and oxygen that someone else deserved more than his sorry stupid self. He was nearly forty. Surely his end should come soon.

He forced himself up from the floor and stood in the mirror. He wiped away whatever was left of his tears and washed his face. He glanced over at the razor on the counter, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He always said self harm was bad. It would be hypocritical to do it and still give that advice. He shook his head to get back on track and finished up washing his face. He turned off the light and stepped outside of the bathroom. The house was dark. Not a single light shown through the hallway.

Felix made his way downstairs carefully through the dark. He was lucky he could see pretty well in the dark. Still, he had to be as quiet as he could. He didn't want to wake anyone up at an hour like this. He slipped away into the dark kitchen and went straight for the coffee pot. He wasn't a big caffeine drinker all the time, but he would be needing it since he didn't sleep. He put everything in place and leaned on the counter watching it. The black liquid dripped from the machine slowly. Each drop landed in the pool below them with a small splash. It was like another victim falling to the darkness around them.

Felix grabbed a glass and made himself up some coffee. He didn't bother adding anything into the drink. Black coffee was fine with him, and it would give him the most energy for today. He sat down at the table and slowly sipped on the dark liquid. Every few moments he would pause and stare into it. He could see his reflection staring back up at him. He was part of the darkness that had engulfed those tiny drops.

"Mr. Felix?" Bendy's voice suddenly broken the peaceful silence that had formed in the kitchen. He was stood in the doorway rubbing his tired eyes with the back of his hand. "What are you doing up? It's like five am." Bendy asked before his words broke off into a long yawn. He wasn't sure why he had woken up, but now he figured it had to do with Felix. The cat was up too, so there had to be something wrong. Felix was pretty well at keeping to schedule, even when exploring they had a set time to start settling down for the night and leaving in the morning.

"Bendy?" Felix nearly jumped upon the voice behind. He turned to look at the source of the sound from across the room. "I could say the same to you." He stated to turn the question Bendy had asked on him. He really didn't want to answer why he was up. It wasn't important anyway. Surely Bendy had a better reason to be up at a time like this. "And it's actually four am." Felix added that in as an attempt to fog the conversation. He thought it may work since Bendy was obviously sleepy.

"Yeah." Bendy yawned again and covered his mouth. "Not sure why I woke up. I felt the need to be up. Now why are you up?" Bendy stepped into the kitchen and padded across the cool tile floor to the table. He climbed up onto a chair and onto the table. He sat on the wooden dinning table like it was his throne. He was the only one allowed to do that because of his height. The others thought it was reasonable when he was talking with others and had to actually look at them.
