As she walked closer, Joy prepared herself of what to become of their conversation.

"Kim Taehyung."

He turned around, staring at her from head to toe, making her a little bit uncomfortable.

She smiled. "Long time no see." but he looks as if he's not pleased with her greeting. He doesn't have that childish and carefree look anymore.

Just what happened to him?

"Park Sooyoung."

Oh, it's not Joy anymore.

That was a straight hit to her heart. It's bitter. He never once called her using her true name even when he was frustrated at her. He must be very angry.

She did not drop her smile and stared at him.

"How are you? You're the CEO now, aren't you? Congratulations."

Instead of giving her answer, he gave her a question back instead, "Do you know what I'm thinking right now?"

"What is it? It's not like I can read your mind. Aren't you busy? I still have to cook dinner." She said to get out of the situation.

In two stride, he's already in front of her, inside her comfort zone, the atmosphere between them became heavy and she can't help but think that he's being intimately close to her.

"I want to kiss the hell out of you."

Joy gasped. What? She looked around and indeed some people passing by are staring at them.

She was tongue tied, unabling her to say anything. What do people say or do in this kind of situation anyway? She gripped the grocery she's carrying harder to get enough courage.

"Why are you surprised? You should have been prepared for this by now. Before I left I told you didn't I?" He looked at her as if he will devour her with his eyes. "When I'm back, I'm going to have you. No matter what anyone says or do."

He looked at her with such intensity and seriousness that Joy's eyes moisten, not because he really still did like her but the fact that even after seven years, she still can't accept his heart.

"Park Sooyoung... For seven years I let you have your way but not anymore. I'm done playing nice. This time I'll make sure you're tied to me."

Joy's eyes widen. What does he mean by that?

"You'll be married to me. With or without your heart."

His statement made her eyes go even wider. What? Marriage? I-is he for real... Kim Taehyung...

He showed a smile this time, the smile that she knew. Putting his hand behind her head, he urged her head to go closer and kissed her pale forehead before looking down at her not yet letting her go. As she's taken aback, Joy didn't realise what had happened.

His hand travelled from the back of her head to her cheeks. "That's it for now. I'll see you again." she tapped her cheeks lightly and let go. The warmth that just engulfed her awhile ago left her cold. "You're holding back so well Park Sooyoung. Don't cry when I leave or else I won't let you go."

Joy sniffed the cold and tried to swallow the lump in her throat before looking at his way. He really knows her.

"Remember, if you ever leave I'll know." He said strictly opening the door of his car. He turned back to her, now smiling again looking at her mouth.

"I won't be generous next time. Bye."

"Hyung, we should tell Jimin hyung about this."

Taehyung took a shot of his drink and just stared ahead without giving Jungkook a glimpse.

"No need. They'll meet again eventually."

"But-"

"Don't say anything, it's not our business. You know both Seulgi and Jimin's personality, you should know why she's doing this."

No matter how decent and polite Jimin is, he have that dark side in him. He was into girls back in High School but now he's just a workaholic lawyer who's not taking a break. Their friends speculate it has something to do with Seulgi.

"Look at your face. You were hell bent knowing who was the father of the child and it turned out its not Sooyoung's child, you're happy aren't you?"

Taehyung glared at him but Jungkook just shrugged his shoulder not even a bit scared, giving his attention to his drink.

Jungkook added, "... I'm amazed nothing happened between the two of you, you really controlled yourself."

Taehyung stared down on his drink, thinking if they had a child back then like Jimin, would she still leave? Won't she think twice to be with him since she's carrying their child?

He feels that he's losing his confidence because she's not wavering at him.

One single woman managed to make to him rattle and worried like that, only Joy can do that.

But atleast he knows that she's here in Seoul, he doesn't have to go to Jeju anymore like what he have planned.

"What happened anyway? You were late today." Taehyung asked Jungkook since he doesn't like it when people doesn't arrive on time but since it's this kid, he gave him chance.

"Someone's drink was spilled on me." Jungkook turned his body towards Taehyung. "I wasn't able to read her name but her ID looks like the ones in your company, she must be an employee there."

"You noticed that when she spilled her drink on you?" Who the hell notices someone's ID when you were spilled with a drink? Only detectives do.

"I took note everything when something happens." Jungkook recalled their encounter once again, it's not because of his job why he noticed her ID, he wanted to know her name, because it's seldom to find someone who talks back to him. "... she's got a smart mouth, I'm pretty sure she works in marketing or some department that requires reasoning."

"You have the freedom to get access in my company's employees, you can do whatever you want in exchange, guard Joy from time to time." 

Jungkook slapped the counter. "Deal."

"Report to me if you notice something unusual."

"Yes sir."

Taehyung lifted a corner of his mouth, he's still busy with the company but he'll find time to talk to her again.
