(Y/n) was a little scared about what Tanaka wanted to talk to her about. Were her sets not right? Did the club not want her around anymore? No, that couldn't be. She knew that the club liked having her around. But what if they were just putting up with her cause she wouldn't leave? She knew she was overthinking this, which was causing her hands to fidget with her white t-shirt. Tanaka lead the two out of the gym, his own hands fidgeting.

~Tanaka's POV~

"Noya, I want to ask her out." I said quite bluntly in the changing room. Noya, along with a couple of the other people in the room looked at me, their eyebrows knitted in confusion. Noya knew who I was talking about since I've told him about my feelings towards (y/n) before.

"Well, just tell her! I see how she looks at you! She looks so happy!" Noya said with a bright smile, tucking his shirt into his shorts. Daichi walked over to us and put a firm hand on my shoulder. But it wasn't like her was about to kill us for something, but in more of a supportive way.

"Well, most of us don't even know what you're talking about, but whatever you do, we support you, Tanaka." Daichi said, a soft smile on his face as everyone, besides Kageyama and Tsukishima, nodded. I smiled back and gave them all a thumbs up, thanking them for their support. After practice, I lead (y/n) out of the gym, walking far enough from the gym so no one could eavesdrop on us. On our way to where I thought was far enough, I tried to think of ways to tell her. I like you just sounded too blunt and not enough context, saying it and including "I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship" sounds too negative and not something a man would say. Damn it Noya! You barely helped! Once I stopped, (y/n) stopped as well, not even looking at me as she seemed upset.

"(l/n)? What's wrong?" I asked, my head tilting a little. She shot her head up and shook it a little, biting her lip slightly. I could tell there was something wrong, but I wasn't going to push her about it. And it hurt when she looked at me and that sparkle in her eyes weren't there. It was pain and worry. I wanted to comfort her, I really did, but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

"I didn't want to talk to you about you doing something wrong if that's what you're thinking. It's something else." I say, moving a hand to her shoulder, resting it there gently. She looked at my hand and she nodded a little, her shoulders seeming to relax from any tension in them. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes before opening them to see her (e/c) orbs looking back in mine, that shine coming back. I smiled a little, removing my hand from her shoulder.

"I.. I'm not too good with this type of thing, but I like you. Like, more than friends. You're perfect. The shine in your eyes when you play volleyball with us or whenever I see you sneaking glances at me makes me weak. You're the reason I'm not all over Kiyoko-san anymore. I'm so awestruck by you whenever you enter the room." I say, keeping eye contact with her so I don't just run off with my worries. She needed to know and I wasn't going to keep this feelings bottled up anymore.

~your pov~

My eyes widened at what he said. Blood rushed up to my face, burning the tips of my ears. He actually liked me back?! Hold on, I thought I was getting yelled at. I'm confused. I stood there, hearing Tanaka mumble something before trying to walk away. I panicked and hugged him from behind.

"I-I like you too, Tanaka. I.. I thought I was going to get yelled at or told the team doesn't want me around anymore. But.. Ever since I saw your smile, I fell head over heels for you. But getting to know you more made me realize it was a crush, not just me wanting to become friends with you." I say softly, resting my head on his back. He turned around in my arms, wrapping his own around my waist, resting his head on mine.

"I could never yell at you. The team loves you. Will you be my girlfriend, (y/n)?" He asks, giving me a light squeeze. I could easily tell he was keeping in too much excitement. I rested my head on his chest, nodding slightly. This is what I've wanted for months now, and I can finally have it as much as I want. He lifted me, spinning around as his face became buried in the crook of my neck as I let out a small squeal of surprisement, my arms moving up to his neck. We heard cheering from a few feet away, Tanaka suddenly stopping and putting me down, keeping his hands on my hips as we looked the way of where the noise was coming from. The team was cheering, Noya and Hinata bouncing up and down. I could tell that they were the one's who probably hyped Tanaka to ask me out, so I owed them all.

~~Extended Endinggg!~

(y/n) and Tanaka supported each other through out everything. Tanaka and the others managed to convince (y/n) to join the girls team and became their new ace. Her mother gave in to (y/n) playing volleyball but barely made the games. Her father was always there for her and so was the boys team. After every game, Tanaka would either go to (y/n)'s or the whole team would go out to get food, provided by coach Ukai. In the end, all of (y/n)'s dreams came true.
