It wasn't odd to see trouble reaching out to Bruce. He's been an outcast in all of his years through school and even with people in the real world seem to get on his bad side. It wasn't a surprise to him that the world caved in on itself since human nature tends to only know one thing, destroy.
Bruce looted a basic baseball bat from a sporting goods store while rolling through town. His vintage car wasn't the quietest, but it was much better than walking. Luckily, electricity and gas was still viable for the time being, so he'd managed to make a pit stop for gas and maybe a few snacks before making the trek out of the broken town.
While walking out of the gas station, hands filled with bags of chips and other snacks, Bruce saw the roaming wave of zombies heading his way. He could never catch a break, but it would definitely allow him to test out his new weapon if the car's tank didn't fill up in time. Only time would tell..
