Uma

How many damn times do I have to search for Mr.Hook Jr?

The doors to Ursula's old shop swung open as I walked in, once again scanning the room for Harry. I see the new owners made no effort in fixing this place, boxes still cluttered the walls and the tables were not rearranged in the slightest.

Directly in front of me sat Harry and Gil, laughing and drinking some weird, bubbly, liquid from tin cans and resting their feet on top of their table.

Hold on, Gil's here?!

"Gil!" I exclaim as I rush over to their table, "Hey stranger, I haven't seen you in days."

"Hey cappy, how are ya?" Gil beams and stands up to hug me.

"I'm as good as a pirate with a broken ship." I reply as I unwrap my arms around Gil.

I pull out a chair placed next to the table and sit down in between Harry and Gil.

"Alright spill, what have you and Jay decided on?" I question.

"We're leaving at the end of the summer, so the end of August, to these mountains in DunBroch . But I'm not sure how we'll get there, Jay says we can start by taking the limo but how can we if we don't have enough money?" Gil excitedly rants and takes a quick sip of his foamed drink.

"He's friends with Mal, Gil, he probably means you two will borrow her limo." Why does Mal always come up in conversation?

"Speaking of Mal, where did you go yesterday with Carlos?" Harry asks gently, but his face shows a mix of concern and annoyance.

Before answering, I reach for his tin cup and take a swig of the weird drink he and Gil had been drinking. I completely forgot I left Harry yesterday without telling him, he has a right to be annoyed with me.

I'm his captain, he shouldn't be annoyed with me. I messed up.

"First of all, I don't get how you guys can drink this sewage," I push the drink back towards Harry before continuing, "Second, I'm sorry I ditched you Harry. Carlos, uhm, took me somewhere to help me clear my head. He wants me to patch things up with Mal."

"Carlos is a wee boy, you don't need to listen to him." Harry chuckles.

"Why can't you make up with Mal? I thought you two were cool again." Gil adds.

"Well we're not. Harry snap out of it, Carlos is ok. I decided to confront Mal, I just don't want to yet. Ursula left me with nothing and I have to figure that out first." I sigh and slump into my seat.

"Ursula? That's strange Uma, I've never heard you call your mom that before." Gil replies.

"Now what did I tell you about-" Harry starts at Gil but I cut him off. I really deal with children every day.

"Harry, chill out, it's ok. She doesn't deserve the title of a mother."

"Well c'mon then, let's see the damage she left behind." Harry suggests and stands up from the table.

Gil and I follow shortly after and head over to my stupid, empty, apartment.

-

"Well, this is a dumpa" Harry whispers after swinging the door open.

"Yeah no kidding." I push Harry out of the way and slowly walk to the middle of the empty living room.

"Welcome to my humble abode!" I exaggerate my excitement, "or whatever you want to call it."

"Hey it's not that bad Uma, now you can do whatever you want without getting yelled at or beaten. You can keep all the berries you want in here." Gil puts a hand on my shoulder, attempting to comfort me.
