I rush to get ready for my weekly meeting with Mal and Ben, changing into my leather teal and brown outfit and gloves. I lost track of time while hanging out with Harry, he just wouldn't shut up about rebuilding The Lost Revenge and being free. But I know it's because he misses his boyfriend. I mean Gil, he's missing Gil.

I leave my room and slide down the crooked wooden latter to the graphite street, making a mental note to get rid of the latter. I jog to the other side of the Isle to get to the brige, praying the heels of my boots don't make me trip.

The Isle has been fairly empty since the barrier came down. Most people are roaming Auradon and getting a taste of "freedom" and "magic", and most kids are enrolling into Auradon Prep or a school nearby it. But every once in awhile, the Isle is packed at night with teens partying and villain kids visiting their homes. I'm not complaining though, the less people to get on my nerves the better.

The bridge is as clean and beautiful as ever, and though it's a long walk to the main land I get time to myself to think and listen to the calming sound of the ocean crashing against both the Isle and Auradon. The calm before the chaotic storm that is Auradon.

Barely making it on time, I swing the office door open to find dark purple hair and the silloute of young woman standing anxiously by the window on the side of the office.

"Hey Mal, sorry I'm late I lost track of time."

"Of course you did." Mal chuckled.

"Where's Ben? He's late too?" I ask while scanning the room.

"He had a last minute meeting in Camelot, so he won't be here." Mal answered while sitting down by her desk, "So, did you make the list?"

"Yes I did," I pull out the small white paper with a list of needed improvements to The Isle that was made just the previous night, "Everything the Isle needs."

"Seven things? You only found seven things needed for the Isle? I could think of twenty."

"I don't want to change the Isle too much. It's home for a reason, the more changes the less it feels like home."

"But are we not trying to make it a better and safer place for anyone who wants to live there?" Mal retorts clearly trying to hold back the annoyance in her tone.

"The people who still live there are staying for a reason, if they wanted better conditions they've already left and moved here." I reply as I roll my eyes.

"Okay, fine." Mal sighs and puts the paper on top of a stack of folders.

"So, what's been going on with you?" I desperately try to change the subject.

"Planning the wedding, learning queen duties, trying to spend time with Evie, Jay, and Carlos. What's up with you?"

"Trying to reach my mom, exploring with my crew, bossing Harry around as usual." I chuckle.

"Ah, you have hook hand wrapped around your finger, or should I say tentacle." Mal jokes, using a newfound nickname.

"He's loyal and caring, that's just Harry." I reply as a smile dances on my lips.
