The next morning at school, Hoseok wandered the halls not really looking for anyone in particular.
But that was exactly what he was doing.
Not wanting to make a big deal out of last night's texts, since Hoseok hated confrontation, he simply and subtly kept his eyes steady to catch a familiar head of mint green hair.
Ever since Yoongi's text messages, the boy couldn't help but feel almost responsible for making sure Yoongi was okay. It was simply instinct, possibly a motherly characteristic that always clung to him since he was young.
From practically elementary school, taking care of friends and constantly checking up on them was Hoseok's speciality. Their well being and mental health was much more valuable than his own in his mind, which came with some good and bad side effects in that matter.
But when it came to his own friends' happiness, Hoseok's barely cherished his own.
Pondering the hallways, making sure to keep his head up at all times while also not wanting to appear too suspicious, Hoseok's almond shaped eyes pierced every face that came into view.
Studying each one intensely in order not to miss the one he was looking for.
However, getting his hopes up, the school bell unfortunately rang in his disadvantage, causing the slightly disappointed boy to pout.
Quickly disregarding the small drawback, Hoseok shook off the thought and headed to class with a sigh.
Maybe it was for the best, after all, the two weren't particularly close yet and the last thing he wanted to do was meddle in someone's life. Especially after observing that Yoongi tended to be more seclusive with others, Hoseok didn't want to make the boy feel uncomfortable or that he intruding in anyway.
However, that one tiny glimpse of worry couldn't help but slip past through Hoseok's mind, even if it only entered his subconscious state for a split second.
Maybe I'm just overthinking this, Hoseok thought to himself, biting down on the tip of his pencil.
Jimin, who has just taken a seat next to him noticed this slight move and patted his friend's back in a comforting manner.
"Everything alright?" Jimin whispered in his ear, not wanting them to get in trouble for talking once again.
Not turning around to face the younger, Hoseok just nodded his head in return before focusing on the lecture.
Unconvinced, Jimin side-eyed him doubtfully before turning around to do the same, arms crossed over his chest firmly.
Oblivious to all of this, Taehyung just continued taking notes, although he was about two seconds close to dozing off right there on the spot. In order to keep the sleepy boy awake, an annoyed Jimin kept having to poke his shoulder which startled the younger several times.
Hoseok was used to their sh*t by now, so the man was completely unbothered at this point.
Plus, he had other things to think about anyways.

The day passed on painfully slow. It was as if the second hand on the clock ticked every other hour, for every class period felt like fifty years.
Time had practically stopped, as everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. Every single motion, movement, or gesture was blurred and prolonged immensely.
It drove Hoseok crazy, but he couldn't really do anything about it except wait it out and suffer.
Letting out a quiet hmmph, Hoseok groaned as he rested his head on the desk, not really caring if the teacher noticed at this point. The boy had basically given up at everything, not giving a single sh*t about anything.
