Chapter 5

My work as a professor is doing good, so far. Hindi issue sa mga estudyante na halos ka-edaran ko lang sila and some of them still respect me. But, it is still disturbing na meron ding mga estudyante na hindi ako nire-recognize as their professor and much worse is, they see me as a prey in the wild. I can't speak up because this school, most of their students are from well-known family, such as politicians, anak or pamangkin ng artista, heirs to their conglomerates and so on.

In short, they're not the one who you think you can messed up.

Xyleena also, daughter of St. Louis Food Industry. Halos lahat ng local food na nasa pilipinas ay sa kanila galing. So, Xyleena is filthy rich while me? Oh. I'm just a lucky girl.

My foster parents are both staying in USA for good. They're both doctors. Respectable doctors to be exact.

So why I am teacher and not a doctor like them? Because I don't want to run in the same circle as them. Tanggap ko sa sarili ko na i'm not good at health and medicine kaya I decided to decline their offer na mag medicine like them. And I know to myself that teaching is my heart and soul. That's how important my profession is to me. And i can't imagine myself on other profession rather than teaching.

I love teaching and this is my passion, to educate and teach.

"Miss Lexi, How can I raise my grades on your subject?"

Nawala ang isip ko sa pagta-type ng report ng may biglang sumulpot sa harap ko.

Tatlong lalakeng estudyante ang nasa harap ko and they're not supposed to be here since bukas pa ang subject ko sakanila.

They're from second section on Marketing class.

Aside from being professor on Masteral Class ay nag-start narin ako magturo sa mga 3rd and 4th year college students.

Since the Head of Department ng Business Administration ay humingi ng pabor because they're lacking of professors on Bachelor Degree class, sumang-ayon nalang ako. I agree because of two things; one is for increase salary they offered and two, to avoid Dale Villamor.

"What's your surname, Mister?"

He grinned playfully and sat in-front of me. I can admit, he got the looks but still lacking of something.

"Salvador. Aaron Salvador, Miss Lexi" he said then grin again. What's wrong with him?

"Hmm. I see."

Tinipa ko sa keyboard ng laptop ko ang pangalan niya to check if he's failing on my subject. And based on my record, he has good grades.

Inayos ko ang salamin ko at lumingon sa kanilang tatlo na mariin palang nakatingin sa akin. I rotate my laptop to make him see his grades and performance.

"Mr. Salvador, I think you don't need an increase on your grades because you're doing well naman. Your grades are in mid and your points in activities are good. Why are you asking me this anyway?"

He brushed off his hair and by the way he looks, he's into something.

"You know, Miss Lexi, My family is from a well-known politician clan and this grades are not enough for them, and also for me. So, I want to know how to raise this fucking grades even higher than before."
