Perrie turns to Alex with a worried frown. "What happened? Did we do something wrong?" He shrugs. "She looked happy, didn't she?"
"Yeah, babe, but this is weird."
Perrie shakes her head. "This feels good." This is everything Perrie's wanted.
"It doesn't make it less weird." He's trying to compartmentalize Jesy's reaction because if he doesn't then his heart will break a little.
"I'm gonna go find her." Alex tugs on Perrie's hand as she tries to walk past him.
"Give her a minute." Perrie looks towards the hall. "She just needs time. She said she'll be back."
Perrie huffs as she joins Alex on the couch. If Jesy's not back in 5 minutes, she's going to find her.

Jesy stares at her reflection. The put together girl in the mirror is not who she is. Not right now. Not when she's out there flirting with Perrie's boyfriend and letting Pez... She doesn't even know what Perrie was doing differently but it was something. She never would have done this if Alex hadn't said what he said about wanting them both. She shouldn't have touched his hand. She crossed a line. She didn't even ask Perrie before she did it. What was she thinking? Was she seriously about to have a threesome with Perrie and Alex? That might be one of the stupidest things she's ever almost done. Now she's gone and made everything more complicated. She was getting their hopes up for god knows what and they weren't any closer to moving past this.
She's tempted to splash water on her face but the last thing she needs is her makeup to be running down her face. That's when she hears a gentle knock on the door and then a small, "Jes?" Perrie doesn't wait for her answer because a moment later she wanders into the bathroom. "Hey." Jesy meets her eyes through the mirror but doesn't say anything. "Did we do something?"
"What are we doing?"
Perrie sighs as she shifts her weight to her other foot. Everyone has to stop asking her that. "We're having dinner."
Jesy lets out a short, rough laugh. "Alex is touching me up."
Perrie crosses her arms. "He's playing with your hair. And you started it." Perrie can hear how childish that sounds but it's not fair for Jesy to put the blame on Alex.
"I know." Jesy glances down to the sink in front of her. "It was a mistake."
Perrie tries to stop this next part from coming out like a whine but she's not sure how successful she is. "Don't say that."
"Perrie." She guesses not that successful based on Jesy's firm tone.
"Didn't it feel nice?" Perrie takes another small step into the bathroom.
"That's not the point."
"Why not?" Perrie lets her arms flop to her sides. "What's so wrong about that? You like him." Jesy flinches. "You're giving him that smile. And don't try to play dumb. You know what smile. You held his hand. You're cuddling with his leg for fucks sake."
"I told you it was a mistake."
Perrie groans. "No, it's not. It's okay. It's more than okay. I like it, he likes it, you like it. Can't we just... try it?"
Jesy's face hardens. "Try what?" No one's actually said it. Hinted around it once or twice but never have the actual words left someone's lips.
Perrie stands up a little taller. "Try being together." Jesy raises her eyebrow and Perrie knows that's not enough. "I just want us to try," Perrie gestures between them and then does a hard flick to the floor, "this."
