Alerrie has a crush

Perrie catches him staring at Jesy throughout the show. She catches his eye whenever he's staring at her and he gives her a little smirk but she also catches him staring at Jesy. She'd been joking earlier before the show when she said that she knew he'd say Jesy was his favorite. But on second thought, it wasn't really a joke. Alex loves her, is in love with her and she knows that in her bones but she's seen the way he looks at Jesy. It's the way she sometimes looks at Jesy.

She noticed a few months ago. They were at a club and she left to go get their drinks and when she came back Jesy was drunkenly telling a story or trying to rather. She was breaking out in giggles every few words and Alex looked enamoured. He had this small but bright smile on his face as he chuckled at her antics. She'd felt a prickle of jealousy and wasn't sure who it was she was jealous over. Alex getting all of Jesy's attention or Jesy getting all of Alex's. Indulging in a bit of possessiveness, she sat on Alex's lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and greeted her with a wide, happy smile that made her heart flutter.

They broke away when Jesy's giggles got louder and she couldn't help the small smile that formed. She can't blame Alex. She's more enamoured than he is and has been for years.

She decides not to say anything that night since they're all drunk but then the next day she realizes it's so much easier not to say anything at all. She trusts Alex and she trusts Jesy and she'd be such a hypocrite if she was mad at him for having the same thoughts she has so she doesn't bring it up. Once she saw it though, she saw it everywhere. Alex laughs a little too loud at her jokes, he watches Jes on stage almost as much as he watches her, and she can see him perk up when Jesy joins their group outings.

She's starting to get a bit nervous about it. She doesn't think she could handle it if Alex left her for Jesy. She couldn't handle seeing them together. She couldn't lose them both. That fear wars with the part of her that knows even if Alex broke up with her Jesy would never because Jesy would always choose her.

She decides later that night that she has to say something to him. That she needed to know what was happening in his head because she wasn't so sure this was a little crush anymore. She waits until after the show, after dinner, and she lets them get through half of Money Heist before she finally gets up the nerve. She reaches for the remote and hits pause.

Alex looks at her, concern shining through his eyes and the way he rubs circles on her back. "You okay, babe?"

Perrie nods. "I have to tell you something."

"Anything."

She takes a deep breath and exhales. "I know you like Jes." She doesn't let herself pause the way she wants to because she doesn't want to give him time to panic. "And I'm not mad. I know how it happens." She gives him a rueful smile. She told him about her and Jesy's history when they first became official a couple years ago. "But I need to know what's happening in your head." She places a hand over his chest. "In your heart."

Alex licks his lips as he tries to buy himself some time. He kind of thought this was coming. He knew he was being too obvious but it was hard to keep to himself. "I'm madly in love with you. More than ever." That's the important bit he needs Perrie to believe.

She nods. "I know. I love you too." She thinks about prodding him again but decides to stay quiet.

"I like her. I fancy her." He corrects himself. He likes Leigh-Anne and Jade too but not the way he likes Jesy.

Perrie bites her lip. "A lot?"

Alex shakes his head looking a little lost. "I think so. But I would never-"

Perrie grabs his hand. "I believe you." She looks down at their hands. "I can't blame you." She takes a breath as the confession sits on her tongue. She's never been quite so honest about this. "I mean, I've been half in love with her for years."
