Macies POV:
After three hours of shredding up waves Kamri and I decided to head back toward the beach. We began to paddle towards the shore.
"So, what are you doing Wednesday night?" questioned Kamri as we headed toward the shore.
"Nothing....why?"I replied.
"Ok I am glad you are free, because you are coming to youth group on Wednesday night," Kamri stated.
"Look, I don't to go ok!?," I told her,"I am not ready to go back to a church."
"Macie, it has been four years since your mom died and since you started to shut all of your old friends out, I think it has been long enough." said Kamri.
"I am just not ready, ok?" I replied
"Ok, but please think about it!" asked Kamri.
"Sure I will think about it," I said.
Kamri has been trying for three years to get me to go back to church. I used to go with my mom a lot when I was little, but ever since she died I can't bring myself to go back.

I dropped my bag by my bed and fell into my pillows, it had been a long exhausting day. After Kamri and I went surfing we decide to go do some shopping, and after three hours we finally headed home. I didn't get much just a new ripcurl shirt and shoes. Luckily we didn't have homework since it was just the first day of school.
I sat up and looked out of my window. My house was right next to a beach, but this one didn't have any good surfing waves unfortunately. It was dark outside and you could barley make out the waves rising and falling. I sighed and began to think about what Kamri had said earlier."I think it has been long enough..." What was that supposed to mean I wondered. Before my mom passed away I had lots of friends, but Kamri was the only one that bothered to stick around after she died. The rest of them didn't want to bother the girl who had just lost her mom to cancer. After a long hour reliving the past I realized that it was already ten, and that I should probably take a shower and head to bed.
I jumped into the shower and turned the water on. The steaming water felt good against all of my sore muscles. Once I was done I got changed into an old t-shirt and some sweats, and started for bed. I laid my head down on my soft pillow and fell asleep instantly to the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

Kamri's POV:
"KAMWWIII!! Wake up wake up wake upppp!" My little brother, Tim, shouted as he bounced on my bed and around my room.
"Ughhhh Tim," I started until I realized how cute he looked as he tried to wake me up,"ok I will get up. What time is it anyway?"
"Time for you to get a watch!" Tim said.
"Ha ha very funny. Now get out of my room so I can get ready, ok?"
"Fine," he answered. Once Tim had left my room I reluctantly got out of my bed, and then immediately sat down.
"Oh great," I muttered. I was sore, really sore. Usually surfing for a few hours just makes me tired, but when you spend three hours learning new turns and moves you are sooo dead afterwards. I got up slowly this time and walked over to my closet wincing with each step. I managed to put on some jean shorts with a free people blue top, and then headed to get some breakfast.
When I made it to the kitchen my family had already started to eat. I grabbed a bowl and piled it with fruit.I sat down and began to eat after my dad said grace for the meal.
"So Kamri," began my dad,"How has surfing been going?"
"School gets in the way but it's been pretty good." I answered. My dad nodded and began to head for the door.
"Bye guys, have a good day!" said my dad as he headed for work.
"Bye," I replied. I looked at the time and realized that I should probably start to drive to school.
"Bye mom I need to leave," I said as I grabbed my shoes and the keys," is it ok if Macie and I go surfing again? We have some new moves that we want to learn before competition season starts up."
"That's fine just be home by six," she replied.
I thanked her and then walked to my car and began to drive to school.
