Y/N's POV:

Today was June 5th, 2020. Crazy ass year it's been so far only six months into the year and so much chaos has happen world wide and boy did you say goodbye to the rest of your school year and summer break. As you lay on your twin bed and scroll through your phone for the 100th time today avoiding weeks old homework and today's chores seeing the most recent article and news on the BLM movement, angry at what the world has come to and how ignorant some people can be about the justice system.

"Fuck the damn cops, he didn't deserve this.." you roll your eyes seeing George Floyd's sickening video for the 5th time this week. It's not that the video isn't be shared enough, You definitely knew it was everywhere on every social media platform you've got in existence, but you hated, hated, hated seeing the video know how much it angers you that situations like that happen everyday but a lot of people including you wouldn't hear about it enough thanks to social media blocking out certain news to the people. It's sick and you along with millions of others were tired of it. You being only 18 and living with your parents, you could do a lot to help out right at home. You tried attending a protest but it got shut down early due to assholes who wanted to ruin it and riot, that being the only thing you could to help would be to sign petitions and donate money.

Frank Ocean plays in the background from your laptop as you turn off your phone hearing the lock click finally getting out of bed getting ready for another day staying in at home thanks to Covid-19. Quickly grabbing a towel and new set of comfortable clothes being sweat short and a sports bra, you head to the bathroom where you brush your teeth and head into the shower. Feeling the very warm water almost burning your skin, but that's how you liked it, almost as if you always went by the joke saying "A meal has to heat up somehow". You smile to yourself at the thought of that direct quote you saw on twitter as you let the water soak into your dry but now wet hair. You always tend to get carried away by the comfort of the warm water making you feel good which always resulted in wasting a lot of water and where you lived, water was not cheap. Snapping out of your thoughts you reach for the shaving cream and apply it onto the desired area quickly before you got into trouble for staying in for too long. You always hated hair anywhere on your body that was not above your eye, on your eyelid, or on top of your head. Almost being done shaving, you're startled by loud bangs at the bathroom door knowing who it was coming from.

"Get out!!" your dad yells. "Hold on!" you argued back over the loud water pouring over your cleanly shaven nude body. Rinsing yourself off as the final touches, you reach for the handle after applying shampoo, conditioner, and unscented Dove soap on yourself knowing that fragrance isn't really the best sometimes. Heading back into your room you check your phone as you're still naked but wrapped in a black towel. You noticed you got a snapchat notification from your good friend, Y/F/N "I'm logging on Fortnite now" you read as her bitmoji leaves the chat. You get excited knowing that you're going to play your favorite game with your favorite friends. What more could you ask for? This was apart of your everyday routine but it never got old, that's how you've been leveling up so fast the past two weeks, hours everyday on the game getting victory royales here and there. You smile big as you quickly locked your phone throwing the towel off your body and putting on your new set of clean comfortable clothes. Turning on your switch you check the time reading that it's currently 1:03pm. You always tend to wake up late after staying up all night everyday until 5am.

You click the Fortnite option on your switch device hearing the iconic 'click' noise that is made when you make a game selection. You preferred the switch device because that's how you started off playing Fortnite, but on your cousins, not yours. After getting your own, Fortnite was one of the first games your immediately downloaded. You knew people thought it was weird, but it was like playing on a Nintendo DS, but bigger and modified! So you never saw the issues, you were good anyways so no one could talk down to you since you knew you were probably better than the people talking shit.
