Stranded (Season of Enchantment)

Chapter 1 - A New Place

Day 1

"What happened here?" Maya said, looking at the new surroundings. "Not sure either, I was about to take my nap when some casualties happened. Whatever happened, it seems it was that krill must've been the one who caused it, at least, what I think who did it." Clay said with a shrug, pointing at the krill that was flying away from the land, now circling another island that was not so far from them. "Let's see how the others are doing." Maya said and Clay nodded, both heading out of the ark.

"Welp.. this thing is beyond repair. Oh great.." A woman huffs and crossed her arms. "What will we do?!" She had her hands on her head. "Calm down, Athena. You should probably get some rest. You've been steering the ark for a long while now, get the rest you deserve." An old man said as he stops scratching his long beard. He places a hand on the shorter woman with empathic eyes. Athena sighs deeply and walks away, meeting up with Maya and Clay as the three discussed to themselves. The old man then had his eyes laid on a shorter man who wore a turban, Luce.

"We should settle here for the meantime, and then send a message bottle to ask for help. After that we can explore this island and gather resources before we starve. Gal.. sir?" The turban man looked up, both of their eyes sharing gazes. "Yes.. yes. I'll let everyone else know." Gal said, walking away. The sound of his footsteps against the sand gradually fading. When Luce can't hear any footsteps anymore, he let out a big sigh.

"We should've gone a different route..." He slumped.

Maya had her arms crossed. Clay stood beside her, frowning. Athena is tiredly explaining what had happened. "So we exited valley, it was okay. But then we had to stop because there was a storm ahead. We didn't really have any other options so we had to continue through the storm." She yawned midway her sentence. "It was hard steering to keep the ark stable, but I managed to stabilize it with the help of Aerin's wind abilities. And then, a krill hit the side of the ship and then.." Her tired eyes gazes around their surroundings. "Here we are.." She spread her arms slightly wide and they immediately slump down to her sides, yawning once again. "You look really burnt out, best you get some sleep. I've slept longer, so I can stay up for a while. Come on." Maya walked towards her, wrapping one arm around the taller woman's back as they both slowly walk inside the ark.

Clay left alone, he looks around then his eyes turn to Gal, who's walking closer to him. "Oh, hello Gal." He stood straight. "Clay, where's Maya?" Clay looks to the inside of the ark. "She's taking care of Athena, to help her get some rest." Gal nodded in understanding. "She's been up all night taking care of the ark, she needs the rest. Anyways.." He cleared his throat. "We'll settle here for a while. Then later on we need you to make crops to grow food, so we won't starve on the next days. I doubt anyone is hungry right now since we rested in valley before going to wasteland so.. not now." He placed a warm hand on Clay, who looked up and nodded. "Yes, and how will we call for help? We got no communication." Gal let go of him. "Luce will take care of it."

"Right.." Clay looked down and then straight. "Where are the others?"
