The loud rusty bell rattled throughout the school, signalling it was over. "Alright, boys, time to head out." Jason sneered. "Aww, can't we beat him up more?" Yelled a loud voice. To his surprise, it was his own. His friends looked at him, exchanging looks for a moment. "No, we gotta go Kairo. Unless you wanna get busted." There was a stifled giggle amongst the crowd of boys. "You guys can go on ahead, I'm gonna hang back here." He sighed, withdrawing his gaze from Jason. "Suit yourself. C'mon guys." The laughter and muttering fading away as the only sound that remained were gaspsing and sobsbing. He turned around, lowering himself. He reached his hand to the shaking, crying mess. "Hey, you alright?" Kairo said hushed. The boy looked up, still sobbing. Regret and guilt gnawed at him furiously, his hand wavering. "Okay, why don't we try this again," Kairo announced, dusting himself off. "My name's Kairo, what's yours?" He said as enthusiastically as he could. "I-I'm Dakari." Still shaking violently. "Dakari..." Kairo muttered. Suddenly he lifted himself from the yellow grass as he said: "Well Dakari, It's nice to meet you." He said as he offered a hand to him again. He was caught mildly off guard when Daraki suddenly smiled awkwardly, taking his hand. "It's nice to meet you too," Daraki said while still holding his hand.
