"Kairo?" A voice said. Kairo flinched, snapping out of his daydream. Kairo rubbed his eyes while yawning. Daraki offered a smile while pushing a plate full of pancakes towards him. "You know you don't need to cook for me." Kairo sighed. "Bro, you almost burned the house down by trying to put cereal in the oven. I think it's safe to say I do." Daraki remarked. "Y'know, today's a special day," Dakari said, shoving a pancake into his mouth. "Frick," Kairo mumbled. He had no idea why it was special. "Okay, today's April 11th..." Kairo thought. He racked his brain, trying to get even a faint idea of why today was so important. "I can see you don't remember why today's so special Kairo," Dakari smirked. "Really? I totally remember why!" Kairo said obviously being sarcastic. "Well..." Dakari said while standing up from his chair. Then he was standing over Kairo, who didn't seem to notice as he was deep in thought. "Kairo." Suddenly Kairo snapped out of his daydreaming and shifted his gaze to Dakari. "Kairo, we've been best friends since forever right?" Kairo nodded in confusion. "We both care for each, right?" Kairo nodded again, puzzled. "Well, I think I mixed it up with something else," Dakari said finally, shifting his gaze away from Kairo. "I think I love you." There was complete silence. Then it hit Kairo. "I wonder if..." He thought. He glanced at Dakari, he was flushed and embarrassed and he looked like he was going to burst into tears at any moment. It hurt seeing him like that. "Dakari." He finally said. He stood up. "You aren't the only one to mix up those feelings," Kairo said as he took Dakari's hand, squeezing it tight.
