Here I will post any FAQs sent to me by both Judges and Participants!!
🔹Q & A:
1) Q: My book is a mystery/ thriller book, under what genre should I enter it?
A: If your book is a different genre than the genres listed, try your best and sign up with the most similar genre. So in this case, the participant will enter their book to the Adventure genre.
2) Q: My book is not complete, is it okay if I continue updating it throughout the award?
A: Yes, that is perfectly fine. As long as you have a minimum of 3 chapters when you join the award.
3) Q: I have changed my book's title, what do I do?
A: If you changed your book's title, or your username, please contact me through this account (NoraERiddle) immediately.
4) Q: How do I know my book is accepted in the awards?
A: Once you are accepted, you will be notified immediately. Accepted entries will be posted on the 'Accepted entries and Judges' Chapter.
5) Q: How many books does each judge have to read?
A: Each judge is required to read the first 3 chapters of 5 books.
6) Q: Is there an age limit?
A: All writers above the age of 13 are welcome.
7) Q: Is there going to be a Peoples Choice Award (PCA)?
A: Sadly, a PCA is not conducted in this years Cerulean Awards, but perhaps in The Cerulean Awards of 2021.
8) Q: Are mature stories accepted?
A: Mature stories with explicit scenes are not allowed because judges may feel uncomfortable reading. On the other hand, stories with violence, gore, mental health, etc are allowed.
9) Q: Should judges give a review with the final score?
A: A review is not mandatory, if the judge wishes to write a review for the participant, they are free to do so.
10) Q: Are fanfiction accepted?
A: Sadly, fanfiction are not accepted in the awards because judges may not be familiar with the fandom.
