"No compliments...got it." I said bowing my head and spinning around on my heels. I started walking back towards the racks of clothes, I could feel her shooting daggers at me. I chuckled a bit before disappearing behind a section of coats. After looking around for a few seconds I tried to get her attention again.
"Hey, do you find it weird at all that this place is open on Christmas?" I asked.
She lowered her head a bit, ignoring me, pretending to concentrate on the "broken" tag remover. I could tell she didn't want to talk to me. But that didn't stop me. I watched as she brushed a strand of curly brown hair away and adjusted her glasses. She was...interesting. And she wasn't easy which made it even more fun. I ignored her ignoring and moved towards the bargain bin, leaning on a half empty cologne rack.
"Wouldn't a pretty lady like you be at home for holiday?"
I could tell she wanted to answer, but she stayed quiet. Why wouldn't she just talk to me? Most girls melt even before I say hi(or hey), and she wasn't even that hot, so I wasn't exactly used to being brushed off.
I could tell she wasn't having it so I walked around a bit, picking up a few pairs of black skinny jeans and tshirts. I tried finding someone else to get me a fitting room, but she was the only one in the store, so I was out of options.
I walked up to the desk, where she was still fiddling with the tag remover, I planted my arms on her desk, which somehow startled her making her drop the contraption and break it. Her frustration got the better of her, and she finally looked at me.
"Oh my God will you just leave me alone!?" She yelled, her eyes full of desperate anger.
I realized that I was annoying her, but she didn't have to snap at me. My smile faded and expression grew cold, matching hers.
"I was going to ask if I could try these on..." I mumbled, holding up my clothes. I put them on top of the desk for her to see.
I watched as her face went red with embarrassment as she quickly rummaged through the cabinet under her desk. She looked sort of guilty and surprised by my comment.
"Just let me get a room key...for you to uhm...change," she stuttered.
I could tell I frustrated her, but that's what made it all the more fun.
