A chilly breeze brushed my legs.
I woke up.
I wasn't in my bed anymore. I was standing outside. It looked like I was in a park. How did I get here? Did someone kidnap me?
My eyes were starting to adjust to the dark, the moon my only source of light.
It was very cold. I clung to my sweater and looked around. I knew this place, it was a two minute walk from my house. Had I sleep walked from my bed to here? What the hell was with me?
A twig crunched in the distant. I snapped my head in the direction. I felt goosebumps travel up and down my skin. The breeze was making me eyes water.
Snap
Another twig snapped, only closer to me this time. I stepped back, retreating from whatever was near me.
My feet hit something. I tripped over and slammed my chin into the ground. I whimpered, laying there for a second.
Moving my hands around me, trying to pick myself up, I brushed against a solid lump. I froze and touched it again. I felt liquid on the solid. I snatched my hand back and sniffed it.
Somehow, I knew it was blood. Gasping, I stood up. A dead body. I had tripped over one. A low chuckle sounded from beside me.
"Haha. Look at you, all afraid. No one to stop you from becoming a monster. Look what you've done."
I shrunk back, away from the tall shadow in front of me. The person was too tall to be human. Two horns were able to be seen on their head. What did it mean, I did it? I didn't, I would never kill someone.
The park fence hit my back, leaving me no more room to retreat.
It reached out and touched my mouth. I stared at it, too frightened to move.
There was something in its other hand. The hand lifted up towards my mouth. I turned my face to look anywhere but it. I'm going to die.
I felt a cold bottle press against my lips.
"Drink up sweetie."
~~~
My alarm went off.
6:30.
School.
Oh fuck. I didn't feel like it. I felt sick today. My stomach was churning and I had a headache.
I groaned as I rolled out of bed. I changed into my uniform and pulled my hair into a pony tail, out of my face. Ugh. Was last night a dream?
I trudged downstairs and yawned.
It seemed like Jin and his friends stayed over last night. They all sat in the kitchen eating breakfast. They all wore their uniforms.
Jin greeted me.
"Hey Lae. You look tired." He said, eyes wide.
I hummed and poured myself a bowl of cereal. I was about to pour the milk when Jimin snatched it from my hands.
"Hey!?" I complained, reaching for it.
"You idiot. You were about to pour it into a cup, not the bowl." He said, frowning.
I looked down at my bowl and cup. He was right.
"Oh."
Then a sharp pain erupted in my stomach. I let out a groan and hugged it.
"You okay Lae?" Hoseok and Jin asked.
Before I could answer, Taehyung snorted, "She's probably on her period."
I heard a sniff. I turned to stare at Jungkook in confusion. He was staring at me, looking confused and also in awe.
"I don't feel well Jin." I said, tears starting to gather in my eyes.
Jin sighed.
"Mum and dad won't let you miss a day of school unless you're dying."
I grumbled.
