Birthday

~Lance POV~

I woke up to see my siblings, at 8 am, trying to wake me up. 

'He's awake!' my brother Marco said when I opened my eyes. 'Finally, I would've eaten the cake by myself if he wasn't awake by now', my sister Veronica said kind of annoyed at the fact that it took so long. 

I realized it was my birthday and sat straight up in my bed. 'Can you guys get out, I need to get ready', I asked. My brother Luis mumbled something to himself while he walked out but I couldn't make out what he said. 

I got up, took some clean clothes and went to the bathroom. I locked the door, put everything away, got undressed and stepped into the shower. I washed my hair and started to think. 

Would Keith be thinking about me right now? Does he know that I exist or does he see me as someone you pass by on the street? When I was done showering I still didn't know the answer to those questions. I put my clothes on and started to begin with my skin-care routine. I washed my face, scrubbed it, put a few cremes on my face and unlocked the door. 

I walked downstairs. I smelled the smell of chocolate cake. 'I see you're downstairs', my dad said. He wasn't such a fan of my morning routine, to say the least, because it was 'girly' and 'no girl wants that'. 'Yes, may I have some breakfast?' I asked. 'Of course, after breakfast we have some presents for you', my mom said to me. 'Okay', I replied. I sat down and took a pancake. 

Everyone else sat down and started eating too. When we were done eating I got presents. My mom got me the nail polish I wanted and my dad got me deodorant? Don't know why tho. I hugged my mom and the rest of the family good bye and went to school. 

When I arrived I saw Pidge and Hunk already there waiting for me. 'Happy birthday Lance', Hunk said to me and gave me a hug. I hugged him back. 'Thanks Hunk', I said. I let go. 'Happy birthday', Pidge said. They shook my hand and let go. 'Thanks Pidge'. 

We walked into the school and went to our lessons. My first period was History, I went to the classroom and sat down. Some girls walked up to me. 'Happy birthday', they said, I was kind of confused but didn't show it. 'Thanks'. They walked away and I put my books on my table. 

A guy from the team sat next to me. 'So, did you ask someone yet?' he asked. 'Not really, why?' I replied. He was talking about going to the football game and I wanted to ask Keith, but I ain't telling him that. 'Well the game is already in a week and the last game you didn't have a date, so I wanted to make sure', he said. 'Well I like being single, so you don't have to worry', I said. 'Did you ask someone yet?' I asked him. 'Actually yes, her name I Emily and she is on the cheerleading team', he told me. 'Okay', I said. The class started and I was happy I didn't have to talk to him anymore.

~Time skip to break~

My first few periods were over and I had a break now. Lucky for me Pidge and Hunk also had a break. I went to are usual table and sat down. 

'Did Keith wish you a happy birthday yet? You guys have chemistry together right?' Pidge asked. 'Yes we have chemistry, no he hasn't told me happy birthday yet', I answered them. 

Hunk started to talk about something. I didn't really focus and was just thinking while eating my food. When are break was over I only had three classes left, writing, Spanish and PE. 

I went to my writing class. I was writing a poem about the ocean, one of my favorite things on Cuba. After Writing and Spanish I went to my last class, PE. 

I got changed and walked into the hall. We started with our usual warm up with mister Shiro Shirogane, our coach. I noticed Keith wasn't there, he's probably sick or something. After PE I got changed and went home.
