Eyes Blue Like The Atlantic (Klance soulmate au)

The afternoon

When I got home I got dragged upstairs by my sister Veronica. She dragged me into my room and sat me down on my bed. 

'How was school, did red talk to you?' she asked (red=Keith). 'School was fine and no, he didn't talk to me', I said a little disappointed. I started to fiddle with my hands and looked down at them. Veronica rubbed my back a little. 

'What a pity, but you turned 17, so you can write to your soulmate', she says trying to make me feel better. I sighed. 'I know, but dad said i couldn't before i turn 18', I said. 'I don't even know why?' I said folding my arms. 'Maybe he is scared you will leave when you find out who they are?' Veronica questioned out loud. 'No, he would love for me to leave', I said. She nodded in agreement. 

'So when are you coming out?' she asked changing the subject. Veronica knows almost everything about me so of course she knew about my sexuality. She  even helped me figure it out. 'Maybe tomorrow, I want to get it of my chest but not risk a bad reaction today', I said. 'Understandable', she said nodding. 

I got off my bed and grabbed my radio. 'Wanna practice dancing?' I asked grabbing my Spanish CD. I put the CD in my radio. 'Sure', Veronica said getting of the bed. Our mom wanted us to learn some dances of our culture. 

We were about 10 minutes into our practise when our dad called us downstairs. We walked together down the stairs. 'We wanted to get dinner at 6, so we wanted to tell you so you can get ready in time', our dad said almost enthusiastic. It was now 15:00 sow we had 3 hours. 'Okay', Veronica said while I just nodded. We ran to the front door. 

'I'm going to Hunk and Pidge, can you set an alarm for 16:30?' I asked. 'Sure, I'm just going to the mall, do you need anthing?' Veronica answered. 'Just some contour', I said. 'Okay, call you at 16:30', she said and left for the mall. 

I took my bike and went to Hunk his house. I put my bike down in his front yard and knocked on the door. Hunk opened it. 'Hey Lance, come on in', he said. 'Thanks', I said and walked in. I sat next to Pidge on the couch. 'I just need to do some decorating and then I come back', Hunk said and walked to the kitchen. 

'Did you get any fun presents today?' Pidge asked. 'Yes, I got that on nail polish i saw at the mall from my mom', I said smiling. 'Was it the silver sparkly one?' they asked. 'Yes'. Hunk walked back in with a beautiful decorated cake. He put it down and grabbed some placed and forks. 'It's your favorite, a red velvet cake', Hunk said. 'Thanks for remembering', I said with a smile. He cut the cake and gave us all a piece. I took mine and started eating it happily. 

Pidge turned the tv on and went to Netflix. 'What do you wanna watch?' they asked. 'Sherlock Holmes', i said immediately Hunk nodded. 'Okay, Sherlock it is', they said. Pidge searched for it and clicked on it. After 2 episodes i got a call, it was Veronica. 'Let me take this real quick', i said excusing myself. I pressed the green button. 'Get home, you need to get ready', was al she said and hung up. 

'I need to go guys, see you tomorrow', i said. They both waved and I walked to my bike. I took it and drove back home. I went upstairs and saw Veronica already there. 'I already picked my outfit, so are you wearing a suit or a button up and jeans?' She asked. 'Button up and jeans', I answered. 'Black or white?' 'White'. 'Okay don't go to wild with the highlighter and put on some eyeliner, also here's your contour', she said handing it to me. 'Okay can you get out so i can change?' i asked. 'Yes and good luck', she said and walked out. She sounded like I was going on a date while it was just a family dinner. After a hour i was ready and went downstairs. It was now 17:32.
