I ran into the emergency room of the hospital while keeping her leg stabilized and her as comfortable as possible. I walked up to the check in desk and rang the bell to alert the nurse who was supposed to be behind the window. She finally appeared behind the glass as a blurry blob. "Chandler you have to put yourself down as my emergency contact so Gavin doesn't find out about it. It also hurts really bad." "I got you Mon and I know it hurts but I promise it will be better soon." I kissed the top of her head. "What happened to her sir?" " She fell up the steps and landed on her leg. We are pretty sure it's broken. " " Alright I'm going to need you to fill this paperwork out and wait over there until your name is called. I'm going to give her a temporary boot to stabilize it while you're waiting. One more question is it swelled up at all?" "Yes it is." " I'm going to give you an ice pack to hold on it to get the swelling down. It shouldn't be too long." "Okay thank you." He took her to one of the couch sized chairs and helped her put the boot on and gave her the ice pack to hold on it. He sat down and started on the paperwork. He filled out everything he knew and asked her about what he didn't. "Hey Mon do you want to put my address down as the billing address that way Gavin doesn't see it? And what about marital status? Also could you be pregnant?" " First off yes, secondly say that I'm married and that you are my husband that way Gavin won't be contacted. You'll have to change my last name to Bing to make it believable. And not a chance because he beats me so much we never actually have sex. " Suddenly a police officer near them came over and said "Ma'am how long has this been going on?" " Oh Officer, thank you. Since we went on our third date. I'm afraid he's going to kill me. " "Ma'am What's his name?" " Gavin Lanson. " "Ma'am I will send someone over to your apartment immediately but I need some evidence to corroborate your story." " you wanna see some evidence? Chandler get my phone out and go into the pictures app and show him the pictures I started taking after he did it the first time. " "Passcode?" " your birthday. " I pulled her phone out and typed my birthday in and it let me in. I found the app and the awful heartbreaking photos and handed the phone to the cop. "Ma'am this man is a monster and we will get him and put him behind bars for the rest of his life okay?" " Tonight after you get checked out and a cast put on that leg and checked out for any other injuries caused by that monster go stay with your friend here who is pretending to be your husband and maybe go out with him because he obviously loves you or he wouldn't have walked all the way here while carrying you or offered to pay your medical bill. " "Thank you so much." " Just doing my job. " He pulled his radio off his belt and sent four officers to her apartment. Just then a different nurse came out and called out "Monica Bing." " Chandler smiled widely when he heard her first name and his last name. He picked her up and carried her back for evaluation. In order for them to weigh her he had to tell them his weight so he could stand on the scale with her and they could subtract his weight later. After they evaluated her they took her back to a room and gave her an iv and a sedative to knock her out so they could take a xrays without having to worry about her writhing in pain. Chandler pulled the nurse aside after she sedated Monica. "Excuse me she's not my wife the only reason I said she was, was so her boyfriend wouldn't get contacted because he's a monster." "What do you mean sir?" " He's been abusing her for about a year now and we talked to a cop in the waiting room who asked me to make sure she got checked out for other injuries related to abuse and, I let the tears I had been holding in all night fall, sexual abuse as well and if you could take full body photos as well. " "I will talk to the cop." She left and returned about three minutes later. "Alright sir the police officer asked me to have a full abuse workup along with an SAE kit." " What's that? " "A Sexual Assault Evidence kit. It's for the CSI's working her case. The more evidence they have against this guy the better chance they have of putting him behind bars for the rest of his life without parole." " Ok. " "CSI Stella Bonasera is going to collect the SAE kit and take some pictures so I have to ask you to step out for a minute." I went out into the hall for a minute and the CSI came out and asked me to come back in the room. "Mr. Bing how long have you been aware of the situation?" "Since five this evening." " Did she tell you she was being raped?" "No. Oh God!" " Mr. Bing how long did she say this had been happening? " "Almost a year. God how did I not see it? I could have fucking prevented this!" " Mr. Bing do you love her? " "What does that have to do with the price of milk in China?" " You need to tell her how you feel because she's going to need someone to take care of her that loves her and that she is aware of, because that will help her get through all of the pain and suffering. " I need to fill this out saying that you gave your statement to me and that as her power of attorney you consented to having me process her for evidence. " I filled it out thoroughly but quickly. Stella left and the nurse returned and they took her to get X Rays. When they brought her back the doctor came in after they woke her up with a solemn look on her face. "Miss. Geller you have a broken arm, a broken leg and three broken ribs. Now I am sorry to have to tell you this but there is a chance that you might not be able to have children." Monica started to cry. "Now we can raise your chances of being able to get pregnant by giving you hormone pills and prescribing fertility treatments you cannot take birth control no matter. No diaphragms, patches, or pills. Now we are going to cast your arm and leg and give you some pain medication,that won't interfere with your chances of having children. Now someone needs to tell you something." I walked over to the side of the bed and took her face in my hands and spoke "Monica Geller I love you with all my heart and I wish you had said something before tonight because I hate that I live across the hall and didn't hear or see or notice anything because had I known I would have kept you safe. I promise we will get through this together and he is going away for the rest of his life with no chance of parole. I love you Monica Geller more than anything and anyone."
