Monica had to stay in the hospital to have surgery on her leg because it was fractured in two places. Chandler stayed with her and kept her company. After the surgery she was put in a plaster cast and when she woke up and they put her on more pain meds Chandler signed it "I love you Mon! Get better fast! Love, your best friend in the entire world Chandler" "Hey Chandler, when do I get out of here?" He smiled and said "Well about that," "Oh no." "No it's nothing bad. You have to stay here for another day, the thing is the others don't know you're here yet." "Oh shit! I forgot about that itsy bitsy teeny weeny problem." "Yeah so either you can tell them why you are wearing a sling and have a black eye or I will." "I know and I will. When will they be here?" "At 5:30." "How much longer is that?" "Eh 3 hours give or take a few minutes." "Perfect! Will you help me figure out how to tell them?" "Of course Mon. I would do anything for you, you should know that by now." "So ya know we could just wait until they ask and then tell them or tell them as soon they all walk in. Or tell them that you need to tell them all something." "I like the forewarning idea better." "Me too. I'll call them all and tell them that you need to tell them all something." "Thanks Chandler. You are literally the best friend a girl could ask for." "I try." "So do you want me to be in here when you tell them or not?" "I might need your help so would you please stay." "Of course. I'd do anything for you Mon. You should know that by now." Suddenly someone began pounding their fists into the heavy wooden door so hard the guy in a coma on the 4th floor probably heard the racket. "Mon, baby, open the door. I heard you broke your leg." "Go away!" She squeaked. "What was that? What did we say about not doing what I ask?" "Gavin, get the fuck out of this hospital before I come out there and do to you what you did to my bestfriend in the entire world. Although I don't know if I would trust me to stop because after what you did to the woman I love you don't deserve to live." I growled. "Who the fuck do you think you are you coward? Your own parents didn't even want you. What makes you think that my girlfriend will want you instead of me? At least my mom doesn't dress like a hooker and my dad isn't a tranny and the owner of a gay burlesque bar and the main attraction in it's freak show. You know what? You can have her. She's OCD and cleans 25/8. She talks in this high pitched squeak that annoys the living daylights out of me. She cries all the time like a fucking baby. She's a little slut. She's probably been fucking you the whole time we were together so that makes her a whore too. Oh and she hangs out with you and that group of retards at that dumb ass coffee house all the time-" As much as I wanted to go out there and beat him to death I knew it would destroy Monica. So I slid into her bed with her and pulled her into my arms. "None of those things is true. You are absolutely perfect just the way you are Monica. I'm not going to go out there and beat him up because I know you don't want that. I'm going to stay right here in bed with you and keep you safe. You need to press the button to call the nurse so they'll call security on him and security will call the cops." She reached over and pressed the button and for extra encouragement she took the pulse oximeter off her finger causing the machine to think she flatlined. We heard a nurse yell for security and then security came running and we could hear the hand cuffs being put on his wrists and then someone yelled "Drop the weapon!" Monica buried her face in my chest as I held her tighter. She was shaking like a leaf. "Hey it's okay baby. It's okay. I got you. I won't let him hurt you, I promise." A gunshot rang out  through the hospital and silence fell upon the entire building.
