A Summer Camp

A trip to camp

Two months passed by quickly and now I'm ready to start the summer before I'm turning to a sophomore. And of course I couldn't forget what will happen this summer!
Summer camp!
ms.P won't stop talking about this camp, and even though me and mike set to talk more with each other it wasn't enough to make us friends, it was because we are from different friend groups. My girlfriends got so jealous of me and I just couldn't understand what's the rush about him.

I'm close to my family, but because this story isn't about them I'm just gonna tell you quickly that I love them a lot, and I felt sad leaving them for 2 whole months.
But I'm going to have fun so who cares right??

My dad drove me to school.
"shida remember to be safe. No alcohol, no drugs and definitely not sex" he said while driving.
"overprotective much?" I laughed, he looked so serious. They really do care for me.
The car stopped and I got out to get my suitcase from the back of the silver car.
"shida evens" I looked at him.
" don't worry dad! I can take care of myself " I gave him a reassuring smile.
"promise" he gave me his pinky and I laughed.
"promise" I gave him a hug and went to the main gate, seeing an embarrassed boy with a loud hyperactive woman.
Lucky me, I crossed my fingers.

"Ben Shida Evens, I repeat, Been Shida Evens" ms.P shouts and holds her nose at the same time so her voice sounds stupid.
I facepalmed myself and Mike still embarrassed laughed at the situation.
Ms.P hugs me.
"Hunny I missed you so much!!" she fake cries
"you saw me literally two days ago"
"and it felt like a lifetime!" we both laughed and she finally decided to become a bit serious.
" I'm going to bring the car here, I parked it at the wrong side of school" she giggled and I facepalmed myself again. "stay here guys" we nodded and she went away.

I looked at mike, he was wearing a white t-shirt that complimented his figure and dark blue jeans, I noticed he wears a black bracelet on his right wrist. I decided to break the silence.
" I never noticed you wear a bracelet, it's really beautiful!" he suddenly moves to look at me, feeling better after decided to speak.
He sends me his dimple warm smile and turned to look at his wrist.
"Thanks, it's actually my lucky charm" he smiled reaching with one of his hands to his neck.
"my sister made this for me"
"that's awesome! My sister won't even make me orange juice"
"well most of the time mine will just ignore me when I ask to get to bring me water" we sneaked a glance at each other and started to laugh. What a cute conversation, I really enjoyed it.

We heard the beeps from ms.Ps car, and we walked towards it. Sometimes I don't think before I talk so I decided to say something to mike, I didn't even realize it was embarrassing until he told me about it later.
" you know, you really left a remarkable first impression on me, I really wished we could get closer" I stopped talking for a second, and he stopped walking checks heating
"because we are from different groups we never had the chance to talk and befriend each other, I hope we can do it at camp" I smiled and wanted to look at him but noticed he was a few steps behind, he walked faster, reducing the distance between us. His cheeks with hint of red but he looks more at ease than before.
" I really hope we can get to know each other better," he said smiling.
We opened the back of the ms.Ps car and I pushed our suitcases inside.
"need help?" he asked
"what? no, they are just suitcases" I assured him and he laughed.
"Hey why are you laughing?" I asked, curious.
" I just learned something about you," he said getting into the car.
"really?" I laughed "what did you learn?"
"not going to tell you"  he smirked and I pounced his shoulder lightly, laughing.
Ye, we will get along just fine.
