Alrighty, next chapter. For some reason I have the ending all plotted out, but not all the other parts. Like last time, Xel is underline, Grian is italic

Grian Pov

'They've succeeded in their task, and you'll have to live through this all over again...'

I shoot myself up, panting as I wipe my forehead to remove the sweat. I check my clock.

"It's 1:39 AM. I really should sleep, but I really don't feel tired anymore."

I put on a dark red long sleeve shirt, grey pants, and black shoes. I open my window, check for any people walking around, and put on my mask. I fly to the roof of the building and remove my mask. I hide the mask away and sit at the ledge, taking out the necklace I stole.

"Hmm, I wonder what this was all about..."

I bet that the hero's base has some info.

Yeah, but how'd we get in?

You could go invisible, but I bet they have heat sensors around.

I think that they do tours and maybe tutoring in the building, but I'm not sure how it would help.

Maybe just bust in, look around, find some info, download it on a drive or steal the books, beat up a couple heroes, and fly away calling it a day.

That's...actually a good idea. Let's go!

NOW?!

Yeah!

I put back on my mask and fly first into my room to grab a hard drive, then to the hero base. Soon I get there, and I summon a fire ball and launch it at one of the windows.

That's not gonna break it...

The fire ball burns a hole in the glass, allowing me to just waltz on in. I walk around, looking for some super computer or library. I wander into a giant room with loads of computers and a giant screen, but no one is inside.

"This looks like the place."

I go to the computer hooked up to the screen and scan through the files.

"Hero info...Villain info...Research...ah! Relic info."

I click on the file and click on the latest file. It says:
New relic. Our researchers have found a temple, and inside is an old necklace glowing a purple color. It was sent to the Admin for examining, but was then given to the Kinker to bring to us. Sadly, he and the apartment he lived in was attacked by a new villain that has not revealed their name to us. The villain then stole the necklace. Kinker is currently in bed rest...

I didn't want to read anymore so I could leave faster, so I just start downloading the info. As it downloads I look around the files once more. When it finishes I grab the drive, but continue looking for files.

"Oh why not I'm gonna download all of it."

I grab out the drive and start downloading all the info onto the drive. I hear a thunk. I turn around, but no one is there.

Impulse Pov

Why did they make me stay here? I mean, sure my powers were barely controllable but that doesn't mean I shouldn't go anywhere. And sure, they promised to bring some cake or something for me, but I don't wanna stay here all alone. Now look what happened, the new villain has broke in. He almost caught me though. Wait, I should get a picture.

I feebly take out my phone and peek out to take a picture. But, he's no longer there.

"What? Where'd he-"

"I'm right here you know."

I spin around but he isn't there.

"Hey there hero, how are ya doing?"

I turn around and the hero is just floating high enough so we are the same height.

"Uh, hi?"

"I bet you're wondering why I'm here. But first, go call your friends. I've got time."

Realizing this I text everyone saying 'HELP! NEW VILLAIN IS HERE! COME TO BASE!'. Then I start calling X. He picks up.

"Admin, HELP! Villain is at base! Check text-"

The villain shoots a tiny fireball at my phone, causing the call to end and my phone to fry.

"Hey! This phone costed me!"

"Eh, it's not like I did any bad damage, I only just shut it off and crisped part of the case."

"Still, why are you here?"

"What does it look like?"

"Not much..."

"Exactly! Now, I can either leave peacefully out the entrance I made for you and no one gets hurt, or we can fight and I fly out here without a scratch and you plus maybe a civilian will get hurt. Whadd'ya say? I got, lets say 4 minutes. I'll wait back in that room while you think."

The villain flies, or floats, back into the room, humming some kind of tune. (Imagine him humming to Mumbo AFK, K?)

"Dang it! I don't want any civilians to get hurt, but I don't want that villain to escape, but I don't wanna use my powers... God why is making choices so hard?"

I think for a bit, and after a minute the villain comes back.

"So, have you made your decision? By the way, I'm Shadow since I noticed you haven't got my name here."

I summon a tiny little spark, not too much since I can't handle even a handful, and shoot it at 'Shadow'. It should make him pass out, but he blocks it with a small fire ball before it reaches me. He looks at me dead in the eyes and I sweat.

"Uhhh, that was an accident! Sorry! I could let you leave..."

He faces the burn hole in the window, and before flying off he looks back at me.

"Welp, bye! Hope you control those powers!"

Then he flies off, leaving me to plop down and contemplate on what in the world just happened.

END! Yay finally got the courage to write this. Also tomorrow MC Championships happens, but I have no clue what time. I have Central Daylight Time, so what time does it start? Thanks if you tell me!
