Flashback
Chris and I have kissed precisely a few times in the past decade-plus that we have known each other, but this is different. The sexual tension between us has been growing exponentially in the past year. I don't even know if he has a girlfriend right now.
But I don't care about that either.
That's a Chris problem.
"Ugh, you're hot," I complain to him, feeling him pull me to him more tightly.
He drags his lips against my neck, and his hand moves along my stomach. He pauses to murmur the word "likewise" in my ear before he goes back to moving his hips with mine, kissing my neck intermittently with soft kisses.
My head falls back against his shoulder as sensual sighs fall off my lips.
"I need a drink," he groans in my ear, "And a break from this torture."
"Okay," I agree, turning to put my arms around his shoulders, and connect our lips.
"Olivia," he protests, but it comes out as a moan.
I pull back with my gaze on his, "What?"
"Stop," he warns.
He takes my hand, leading me back to where my brother and roommate are huddled. It's another hour of us talking and drinking before those two leave to sleep in my room together. I don't care what they do together. I just don't want to be held culpable for hurt feelings.
Chris and I watch them leave together. His fingertips dig into my hips, and his mouth touches my ear, "Looks like you're staying with me."
He pulls back, and his bottom lip is clenched between his teeth.
"Oh no," I mock complain, my hands on my face, "How will I survive?"
