Amaya’s POV
My heart started to beat a mile a minute and my hands started getting sweaty, I glared at the guy. “Why do you have my locket?”
It was then he finally decide to come out of the shadows, my breath hitched as I saw who it was, it was none other than the Akatsuki leader himself.
He just ignored my previous question and asked his own. “Where did you get this?” I balled my hands into fist.
Is he still not over this? “Why do you care so much about my locket?” “You didn’t answer my question.” He said giving me a glare that would have scared me shitless before, but not now.
“You didn’t answer mine.” I said in a clear yet cold voice keeping my poker face on, he just looked at me with his own blank face.
“I have my own personal reasons.” He finally answered not going into detail. “Now tell me, where did you get this.”
This time it came out as a command more than a question, but I wasn’t afraid I keep my head high and showed no fear.
“It’s something personal to me.” I answered not completely answering his question like he done to mine.
“Now give it back.” I said reaching out to snatch it, though I was unsuccessful because he quickly pulled it away from my reach.
I glared at him, he just gave me a face that almost looked as if he was amused, smug bastard. “Youll get this back as soon as you do something for me.”
I tightened my grip on my fist, by know I had cut my skin and was bleeding quite a bit. “Oh and what would the great leader want from me?”
“I want you to join the Akatsuki.” My eyes widened in surprise and shock, why the hell did he want me on the Akatsuki for?
My demeanor didn’t change though as I voiced my thoughts. “And why is it that you need me to be in the Akatsuki?”
He also kept his cool as he answered my question. “It’s none of your concern as to why I want you in the Akatsuki, but if you choose to decline my offer you and your friends will not get of easy.”
“Is that a threat?” I growled starting to lose my composure. “No it’s a promise, so what will it be?” This was a no brainier, it was obvious that I had to except.
Though another part of me did not agree. But what then, you’ll be stuck being a member with them and who knows what they might do to you?
It’s better than having the people I hold close to me dear! I’d rather go down trying to protect them than doing nothing and causing them pain.
I sighed and took looked at Pein in the eyes, there was no other thing I could do. “Fine I except.” “God choice.”
He then threw my locket at me and I swiftly caught it in my hand. “You will not tell the others of this meeting.”
What! If I do that they’ll think I chose to be with the Akatsuki willingly! But it was the only way to keep them safe.
“Fine.” I agreed, but he wasn’t done it from it. “You will be getting a new uniform and you will wear it, you will also be with us from now on unless I say otherwise.”
By now I was fighting back the urge to disagree with his demands and say to go screw himself, but I didn’t.
“Alright.” He gave me a nod and turned around to walk away. “Welcome to the Akatsuki.” I felt like I had just made a deal with the devil, and I probably did.
