If you could read my mind
I don't think you would stay around
My conscience carries weight by the pound
A broken heart pieced together by rhyme,
A quick fix that tends to ware over time.
if you could read my mind
You'd find a joke for the rare good times
And I don't know if you would mind
Being surrounded by thoughts of violent crimes
Or thoughts of how love can in one day quickly turn to pure hate
And you would find that I'm possibly insane
and that reading my mind would be a big mistake
