"I don't know If I want to go" I said while eating my skittles.

"Maliah please I really don't want to go by myself"

"Ugh girl I ain't even ask my mama she gone say no"

"Please just try I really want to go to the 7v7 please"

"Man alright" I said as I hung up.

Honestly I hate leaving the house. I never go anywhere but school and home or with Zariyah if she begs me enough. Slick mad cause I know my mama about to say yes she always say yes. I'll ask her when she get off from work.

"Girl cut my damn tv down hell wrong with you" she said walking into the house.

"My bad ma whatcha bout to cook" I ask while cutting the tv down.

"Cook?" she ask while putting her keys on the kitchen counter.

"Man nevermind" I said with an attitude.

"Get slick one more time Maliah cook yo own food I just got off work you're sixteen please act like it damn"

"My bad ma Ian mean to stress you I know you got a lot on your plate after daddy left I'm sorry" I said getting up to hug her.

"It's okay baby but I'm fenna shower and go to sleep heat you up some food or order some off my card" she said walking to her room.

"Wait ma can I go with Zariyah to the 7v7" I ask while putting my pizza in the oven.

"Yeah you need to go out more anyways" she said shutting the door.

"Mane this pizza smack" I said while eating my pizza. I started watching boondocks on Hulu as I felt asleep.

"she said no" I said.

"Sike nah I can go" I said walking to class.

"Man you play to much but my cousin Rylan is coming also" she said going towards the stairs.

I don't really know Rylan but I hate being around new people but I love Zariyah so imma do this for her.

"Girl go damn" a familiar voice said.

"Oh my fault" I said looking up.

Bruh I'm so dumb I just ran into Damien and he be doing the most. Plus I just want to avoid him I see that nigga enough already with his aggy as-

"Oh shit Maliah that's you my fault by the way my ma said you and your mama welcome to dinner at our house whenever. Just call before tho" he said sitting down next to me.

"We straight but thanks" I said taking out my notebook and pencil.

"Oh that's cool you going to the 7v7 tonight"

"Ite mane" he said digging in his backpack.
