Well that's one way to do it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jess walks into the dark greenroom without turning on the overhead lights or truly taking in her surroundings. She's had the same routine for the past 6 months. She gets off of her night job at 4 and drives directly here so she can shower and get ready for her day shift at the radio station. If she were to drive all the way home in between there's no way she could work both jobs, so this is the best solution.

Placing her phone down and hitting play on her 'Morning Madness' playlist she sets her bag on the counter lining one wall, dimly lit by a rope light that surrounds the mirror along the wall above the counter. Singing along to one of her favorite songs she begins to set up her things on the counter and set aside everything she'll need for her shower. With her phone right in front of her and music on the louder side, she doesn't hear the rustling behind her as the 4 men who were occupying the room got up off of their places on the couches to watch her curiously.

She grabs her hairbrush and belts this last part just as her phone rings, cutting her off. She curses the caller for interrupting a good song before accepting the call and hitting 'speaker'.

"Hey Jess!"

"You interrupted [singer from previous lyrics]", Jess replied angrily before laughing, "What's up?"

"I'm glad I caught you before you got here. The new greenroom had a leak in it that didn't get repaired this weekend, so we moved everything from your storage room there and we have our morning show guests in the old greenroom. Just go ahead and use the new one for today and they're going to have Manny come in and get it taken care of this afternoon."

"Well your guests must be late because I'm here right n-"

A movement in the mirror in front of her had caused Jess to glance up and directly into another pair of eyes.

"Jess? You still there?"

"Yeah, I'm...I'm gonna call you back" Jess replied as she hung up the phone and reached over to flip on the overhead light switch.

She slowly turned around, seeing that there were actually three others in the room aside from herself and mirror-eyes boy, all of whom were at various stages of smirking at her.

The awkward silence was deafening for a few seconds before Jess started profusely apologizing and trying to gather all of her things from the counter back into her little duffel bag as her face progressively got brighter shades of pink. Unfortunately, her motor skills were apparently lacking this morning as she stumbled over her words and repeatedly dropped multiple items in her haste to get them put up.

The guys were clearly amused, but didn't seem angry or annoyed. They were openly smiling/laughing at her frenzied state, however one was kind enough to cover his mouth and attempt to hide his amusement.

After what seemed like forever (but in all actuality was only a few agonizing seconds) the man whose eyes she met in the mirror walked over and gently placed his hands on her shoulders, squeezing them gently and looking at her until she was forced to look into his eyes (again), still apologizing under her breath.

The other boys began gathering her items off the floor and counter, placing them into her bag for her.

"Look. I mean this in the kindest way possible", mirror-man spoke, "shut up". He smiled as Jess' eyes got wide before she saw his smile, took a deep breath, and began laughing along with the rest of them.

"It's fine, really. If anything it was actually quite entertaining up until that last part" Mirror man spoke again.

"Honestly that last bit was the most entertaining part for me" the black-haired man said, sending them all into another fit of laughter.
