"DID YOU SEE HOW BADASS PIPER WAS?" NED GASPED. "She was like pow! and then hit the guy with the trash lid and was like bam! and then he was on the ground screaming-"

"Okay, Ned...I think we get it. You've been re telling the story since we sat down." Peter sighed, patting him on the shoulder.

Piper chuckled, "What can I say? I'm untouchable." Quite literally. But, she always shoved away that longing, to have real contact with another person.

The teenagers sat in a booth in the back of the room curtesy of Lucy. Piper feared that people may overhear their conversation so she begged her sister to put them in a table out of the way. Her sister obliged thinking it was for other reasons.

"So can you guys just explain eveything one more time? It's hard to grasp that this even happened." Peter confessed. He was right. It was hard for any of them to fathom what had happened to them just a couple nights ago.

"Well, I ditched class like usual. After I gave Piper that note, I bumped into Ned while he was going to the nurses. May I mind you for a stupid reason. He had a paper cut!" Hope laughed, causing Ned's cheeks to brighten.

"Hey! Don't make fun of me it really hurt." Ned pouted.

"Anyways, I managed to convince him to ditch class with me which was surprisingly easy. You know Piper maybe you should be more like Ned. I didn't get any lecture from him or—"

"Jesus, Hope! Can you just tell us what happened without any side comments." Piper groaned, cutting her off mid sentence.

"Proves my point that you're no fun." Hope huffed. "Anyways, we both got lemonades and I got a pretzel from some random vender and just walked around for a couple of hours." Hope gulped. "Everything was fine until suddenly when I was walking I felt like I was on some sort of high. It was like everything was heightened for me. The sun felt warmer, the sky looked bluer—it was like I was walking in the wind."

"I felt the same way. It was the weirdest but best feeling I have ever felt. I was completely numb of everything around me." Ned chimed in.

"After that it was kind of a blur. I just remember fragments of it. These men grabbed us and kept saying something about their boss? Then Piper showed up and if I was correct Spider-man was there?" Hope continued, her statement becoming more of a question.

"Hope, I think you need to rephrase that." Ned gasped, "Piper showed up and kicked some ass until...you know she couldn't kick ass anymore—but! Spider-man showed up to save us! It was awesome."

Piper stayed quiet and just nodded. She wondered what would have happened if the infamous boy in the suit didn't show up. It pained her that she couldn't help protect those that she loved without outting herself. It was bad enough that Hope knew. What would Ned and Peter do when—no if—they found out? Would they dispose of her like everyone else had?
