Around the time that Henry Dixson had entered the city of New York, it was the afternoon and a hot one at that. Letting out a small sigh Henry sat down his suitcase and opened the newspaper he had bought from a young boy when he entered."Jeez, who knew a city like this could be full of so much crime.." Henry mumbled to himself as he scratched at wounds on his body. He had come here on official business from Virginia on the new Hindenburg model. Recently he was sent out to go meet some old friends. He had finally gotten some time out of work at the Virginia Railroad Company. Now, it's not like he even likes it there in the first place. It was just the only job that would take him. So, any excuse to leave was good enough for him.
Walking around the station Henry looked for the people he was meant to meet. Though, it was nearly impossible since there seemed to be a million people in the station around him. Then in the crowd of loud noises surrounding him, he heard faint voices screaming his named. Henry! Henry we're here!, the voices seemed to say. He remembered the voices from what he could hear. They seemed to be two people he met around three to five years ago. Eric and Ben Dawnes. They were brothers if Henry remembered correctly. They had never clarified so he never knew completely.
"Henry my boy! Over here!" Henry heard Ben Dawnes yell to him. Ben seemed to be jumping up and down in his feet. It was childish but, in the good type of way, you know? Henry watched as Ben grabbed a sign from Eric and twirl it around. Looking above Ben's hands he read the sign, Henry Dixson!.
Walking over towards the brothers Henry put his hand out to shake, "Nice to see you two again.." Henry greeted the, with a smile. His voice was a little dry and clearly hurt. This was due to the incident that had just happened aboard the LZ 131 Hindenburg a few hours prior to boarding on the docks.
Eric gave a warm smile and shook Henry's hand back. "Glad to have you back Henry.." Eric paused and took a breath for a small second, "Things have changed here in New York since you left.". With a shake of his head, Eric pulled a cigar out of his pocket. With struck of a match, he lit the cigar and put in his mouth. Blowing out slowly.
Henry nodded, "I heard.. yeah, I did hear about the you know what..". Henry was rather content with all this. He knew exactly what happened a year after he left the circle. Turning his attention towards the brothers completely Henry continued, "Anyways, sorry for being late. Something happened to my ride on the way here.". Now, while this wasn't a lie, this also wasn't the truth. Something did happen to his ride, but it was much larger than he made it sound.
Ben looked towards Henry and chuckled, "Well, what happened exactly?". Henry had been almost 4 hours later than he was meant to be. Ben was pretty sure they deserved at least some explanation of sorts. Even if they didn't like it, an explanation was still an explanation.
Henry let out a small chuckle, "You know what, I'll tell you all on the cab ride home. Let's just wait small bit.." Henry suggested this with a small smirk. As he did, a few people came walking out and into the main part of the section in the station.
These people seemed like just normal people, until you looked closer. That's when you notice a girl who seems to be in her early teens. She seems normal, yes. Until you see the tattoo on her shoulder.
