Arachnophobia

It was one fateful day, Kageyama Tobio had just finished studying for his college exam at 2:13 AM, falling flat on his bed ready to sleep.

He was dorming with Tsukishima Kei, his long time crush, simply because they ended up in the same college and needed a roommate.

Tsukishima definitely still hated him and refused to help him study unless absolutely necessary, so Kageyama was on his own this night.

Right as he was about to fall asleep for several hours, he saw movement on the wall.

He sat up, turned on his phone flashlight, and there it was.

A giant brown spider slowly climbing up his wall.

He fucking SHRIEKED like an eight year old girl who was being chased by someone carrying worms.

Hell, his shriek rivaled that of a horror movie shriek.

He immediately tumbled backwards off of his bed, tears forming in his eyes, when Tsukishima busted through the door in panic.

"WHAT THE FUCK KING ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Tsukishima shouted, running up to Kageyama to check on him.

Tobio immediately started whimpering and pointed at the giant ass brown spider slowly crawling up his wall.

Or well, it was crawling up his wall, TILL IR STARTED DESCENDING DOWN THE WALL ONTO HIS BED.

He was about to scream again when Tsukishima ran outside, grabbed a cup and some paper, trapped the spider between the cup and paper, and let it out through the window.

He felt a little bad for the spider though because they were on the third story of the apartment complex so he had just dropped a spider down to the ground from the third story.

When that was done with, he closed the window, sighed, and looked at Kageyama.

He was muttering "fuck fuck fuck" while curled up in a ball, rocking back and forth and shaking a little as he sniffled and whimpered.

"Didn't know you were so afraid of spiders, King," Tsukishima stated bluntly, though a soft hint of concern and worry was evident in his tone.

He walked over to Kageyama and sat down next to him.

"Sorry it's just... One time I went to bed and the next morning I woke up and there was a spider about to enter my mouth. I was snoring with my mouth open so it tried to crawl in and I've been scared ever since..." Tobio muttered. The story was really embarrassing but it genuinely terrified him.

Tsukishima looked at him, a little shocked, but he sighed again, pulling his hair back with his hand.

"I guess you can sleep with me in my bedroom, there's no spiders in there guaranteed," he mumbled, facing away from Kageyama.

"Are you sure?" Kageyama asked, shocked but slightly blushing at the offer.

"Yes, I'm sure, now move it king it's 3 AM I wanna go to fucking bed," Tsukishima stated, standing up and dragging Kageyama to his room.

"Goodnight, King."

"Goodnight, Tsukishima."

And with that, Tobio was asleep. But Tsukishima was still wide awake.

He had just learned new info on the king, and when he looked to his side, he saw Kageyama looking like an angel (a drooling angel) laying beside him.

His heart thumped a bit, and he covered his mouth and closed his eyes, his face growing red.

He turned to look towards Kageyama when he heard Kageyama mumble.

"..mm... Kei~... I love you..."

Ah. His heart. He went to clutch his heart to hold back the urge to gently caress Kageyama's face and kiss it ever so delicately.

Tsukishima Kei did not get any sleep that night, listening to Kageyama Tobio mumbling in his sleep.

He mumbled the following:

"...mmph... Strawberry...milk... Thanks Kei"

"Yum yum... Kei good at... Cooking"

"Kei~... Cuddles... Please..."

Etc.

Tsukishima was internally screaming.

He had had a crush on the king for GOD knows how long and Kageyama was practically confessing to him subconsciously.

At last, Tsukishima gave in when Tobio said,"Kei~... Can I have a kiss?" And he made a pouty face in his sleep.

He gently caressed his thumb over Tobio's cheek as he held his face in his hands, slowly moving in before he placed their lips together, a gentle touch, pushing a little bit before pulling away and kissing his forehead.

Tobio had such soft lips. He hadn't really noticed, but they were a little small and petite, smooth, soft, and warm.

While Tsukishima was reveling in this discovery, Tobio had woken up and was now pressing his fingers to his lips.

THE Tsukishima Kei had kissed him on the lips.

As soon as he registered what had happened entirely, he turned a bright red, redder than a tomato, and curled up into a ball, somehow ending up in an embrace by Tsukishima.

"So... Did you enjoy the kiss, King?" Tsukishima asked, looking down at the little ball that was now cradled and cuddled up in his arms.

He nuzzled his face in the hair of the blueberry boy.

"It was... Nice... Can we do it again? And again after that? Please?" Kageyama asked.

"I'll do it as many times as you want if you will go out with me and be my boyfriend, hm?" Tsukishima asked, staring down and making eye contact with a pouty, blushing, meek Kageyama.

"I'll only be your boyfriend if you agree to protect me from any and all spiders!" Kageyama exclaimed, looking up at Tsukishima challengingly.

"It's a deal then," Tsukishima said, pulling Tobio up to his eye level and bringing him closer for a kiss.

It was currently 4:57 AM, but they didn't need to wake up until around 8:30 AM, so Kei pulled Tobio in for a tight hug, Tobio returning the hug, before they both fell asleep in the other's arms.

"I love you, Tobio..." Tsukishima whispered.

"I love you too, Kei..." Tobio replied, passing out right there.

They were now dating, all thanks to that spider they threw out of a third story window.
