AN: Um, hi guys. I was thinking about this story a lot over the past few weeks. I realized that it's been getting harder and harder for me to sit down and write it. I guess I'm saying I'm having trouble with motivation. So here's what I've decided: I will no longer have a strict Monday update schedule for this story. In fact, this will now be a random update story. Sorry guys, but it didn't seem fair for you all to expect a Monday update every week, and it certainly wasn't fair for me to feel stressed every week if I haven't been writing. Maybe after a few weeks I'll get back on track and recreate a steady update schedule, but until then the chapter posts will be like a surprise. Good? Okay. Don't worry, I won't stop writing this story, but I just think I need more time to type up the chapters so they're nice and long. :) Kay, that's all. Carry on! :)

Wait, did he just openly admit that he'd rather be playing in a football championship than going on a movie date? Wow, maybe Chase was right.
I sighed, setting my head in my hand.
This'll be one long date...

Avalon's P.O.V.
After a less than sufficient slice of cheese pizza, Trent escorted me to his truck that was parked crookedly in the lot. I tugged on the rusty handle, but the door wouldn't budge. The same thing happened when Trent picked me up from Chase's house. Luckily for me, I had a lot more muscle than the door could handle.
I climbed on the passenger seat, securing my belt with a huff. I was annoyed with Trent's behavior and all he'd confessed to on this date. I couldn't believe how mean he was to Chase, Leo and pretty much everyone else. Well, except his rabbit. He was very thorough when he explained how nice he is to his pet, yet he has the audacity to bully people without caring.
"What's up with you, Ava. You're supposed to have fun on dates," he said as he pulled out of the parking space and zoomed out of the parking lot. I had no idea how he passed his driving test. Trent was as good a driver as a moron on a sugar high.
"I'm just a little upset I guess. How could you do such awful things without feeling bad? I mean, trying to use Chase as a dishrag on his first day is awful. And please don't call me Ava. I don't like it anymore. At least not from you."
"Why not? It sounds better than Avalon anyways. And just for the record, he sprayed my team and me with pudding after!"
I couldn't believe Trent. He just insulted me. At least I think he did . . .
"My team and I."
"What?"
"You said my team and me. It's supposed to be my team and I," I explained as he continued down the road to the movie theater.
"I thought you had dyslexia," he smirked, like it was a playful joke. Too bad he didn't understand how rude he sounded. In fact, he sounded like every other kid back at my old school. I kept my mouth shut the rest of the ride out of fear, my old memories floating around my mind. I didn't want to be made fun of again.
We continued down the highway in silence, him keeping his eyes on the road and me watching the skies. Everything outside seemed so . . . Perfect. The sky was a sweet baby blue and the mossy grass looked so soft. Clouds that looked like stretched cotton balls floated carelessly through the vast sky. There was even a fock of birds sailing through the wind.
They have it easy, I thought. They can just fly away from their problems and start again at a new tree. And even then, their biggest problem would have to be lack of space. They're lucky ducks . . . Or whichever type of bird they are.
