I somehow forgot how to walk and almost tripped on my dress as I walked toward him. I swore under my breath with frustration as our eyes met. I hope he did not see that. "He..Hello." I managed to say. My face turned red with embarrassment. He smiled. "Do you greet everyone like that? Or did I just get very lucky?" He chuckled softly. Oh my goodness. He saw me. I put my face in my hands. "I guess you were very lucky." I said as I looked at the floor.

Our eyes met and we started to laugh. "Hi," he said smirking. I sighed, catching my breath. "Hi," I laughed as I started to blush. "Why don't we restart? He chuckled. "Hello, my name is Ethan." "Hi, umm..my name is Brianna, but you can call me Bri." I said reaching out my hand for him to shake. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you, Bri." He said as he took my hand and kissed it softly.

My heart stopped. I mean, yes, I'm quite used to people kissing me on the hand. It's an everyday occurrence for me, but this was different. I felt.. Umm..What do normal people call them? Butterflies? Yes, my stomach was full of butterflies, and I was not quite sure if I could handle it. I must have been silent for a while, because Ethan asked if I was alright. I nodded, staring at my hand still held in his. "Yes, umm.. I'm fine." I said smiling. He looked at our hands and lightly squeezed mine. I blushed like crazy.

"Ahem." Our hands dropped. Of course she had to come and ruin something I actually enjoyed. "What's going on here?" My mother said, eying me suspiciously. "Uhh mother this is Ethan," I said, watching the floor. "Ethan, this is my mother.. the Queen."
