⚜Millie felt exhausted.
Emotionally and physically.
She was used to feeling empty and alone but she had made a very good progress since she moved in the mansion. The gang members, Angels or not, really had resonated with her.
She could say that slowly, but steadily, she was starting to feel like she had a family again. Even if she never really had anyone except her grandma.
However, in that specific moment, Millie felt like she was drowning.
Helpless and scared.
She couldn't breath but this wasn't like the other times. She couldn't let the world know, especially not the ones surrounding her because frankly, they don't know her.
They don't know her story nor what she's been through.
Plus they don't deserve to be concerned while they are on cloud nine, celebrating their victory.
So she keeps silent and prays that no one will notice her sad and lifeless eyes.
"I'm telling you, the look on their faces was brilliant!" Sadie laughed, sipping from her glass of champagne.
"You bet your ass it was. I mean come on, who wouldn't be affected by our vixen's moves!" Sophia hip bumped Millie as she took a drag of from her cigarette.
Millie been brought back to reality, she turned her head, smiling with them.
"Nah I don't know guys. I've never done that before. It felt like I wasn't in my body anymore." She shrugged their compliments off.
"At least she has a little self consciousness." Grace gives her unimpressed glare.
Millie frowns at her words. She really didn't know what was this girl's problem. Like come on, can't she get a fucking break.
She chooses to ignore her comment as the other two girls had already started coming for Grace's ass and how she shouldn't be that bitchy for no reason.
Lilia wasn't there, Millie then realises. Wait, why was Lilia not here?
"Uh guys? Where's Lilia?"
"Oh! She said she felt tired and she was off for her bedroom." Sadie giggled drunkenly.
Millie took in her words. She knew something was up with her by the moment she saw the way Lilia looked back in the car. It was as if she had seen some kind of ghost. It wasn't her place to talk though, so she just decided to dismiss the thought from her head.
She looked around again. Realising the guys had went back to their rooms except for Wyatt and Caleb who were sitting on the couches and chatting, probably waiting for their women to stop being drunk bitches and go back in their rooms.
Turning around again, Grace was downing the bottle of champagne while Sadie and Sophia was cheering for her, holding their own glasses up in the air.
Millie chuckled and shook her head at her drunk friends.
"Girls, I think I'm going to head off to bed now too." She announced, making them pout.
