I'm a what!?

part six

*yawn*

While stretching my arms above my head I rolled over to find once again Mason not in bed next to me. I rubbed my eyes and decided to get out of bed. Then I get up and walk into the bathroom to shower only to find a note on the sink. He must have known I'd come shower first.

*good morning beautiful, get dressed in something comfortable. I wanna show you something.  When you're done meet me on my office*

I guess he had work to do. The note distracted me from being upset that he wasn't in bed this morning.  Feeling excited I jump in the shower and do my normal routine hair then body.  Once im done I grabbed my towel and dry off.

After wrapping the towel around my body I walk into the closet to find something to wear. Hmm comfortable? But I also wanna look cute. I decided on black leggings with  a tad oversized blue tshirt. For shoes I picked some comfy blue tennis shoes. When I'm done I walk into the bathroom to do my hair.  Ima go simple and put it up in a hair tie and I'm not feeling the make up thing today so no makeup. 

Once downstairs I realized I had no clue where masons office was.

"Hey, um can you show me where masons office is?" I asked a middle aged lady.

"Yes luna" she nodded her head in respect

"Oh please call me scarlett. The whole luna thing is still kinda weird to me"

"Yes lu..scarlett" she said with a smile "here it is, would you like anything else?"

"No ma'am thank you"

"You're welcome luna...I mean scarlett"
She nodded and walked away.

Right as I was about to open the door the door swung the door open revealing a very happy Mason. Kissing my forehead he took my hand and lead us out side then stopped. Why is he stopping? He looked at me excitedly.

"I wanna take you somewhere that's very special to me, but we have to run there in wolf form."

I could tell he saw how uneasy that made me feel

"Its okay I'll be right here the whole time. Plus every change after your first doesnt hurt. The more you do it the more it feels kinda like...kinda like normal. It's good to let your wolf run free. Just think of what your wolf looks like"

I did what he said and thought of evy. I felt myself change and just like he said it disnt hurt. It was also alot faster than the first time. I watched him change into his wolf. My eyes widened as I saw him. Hes the wolf that i saw in the woods that day.

"Yes that was me, but I didnt know you were my mate when I did that." Masons voice was in my head. Wow that's cool

"I know it is"

"Stop doing that"

"Never"we both laugh

Mason starts running and I followed behind him. This felt so weird. I could feel every branch and leaf I stepped on as I ran. My ears pirked up to the sound of birds chirping. And my eyes! I could see so much better like more clearly.  We took a few turns and ended and a pond. It looked like the one from my dream. It was down right beautiful.

We stopped and took a drink from the pond then Mason turned back into his human self. I followed his lead and did the same thing.

"I've been here before. When I first changed I woke up here with my wolf evy. This is where we met"

"Wow that's weird. I've never heard of someone meeting their wolf like that when they first changed. That reminds me, there was a reason I brought you here."

"Okay yeah what is it?"

"I wanted to show you something."

I watched as he pulled out a pocket knife and put it to his arm. He started cutting letting blood drip down to his hand

"No! Mason! What are you doing!?"

I grabbed his arm and the cut slowly started to heal itself. Okay what? Did I just heal him? I slowly looked up at Mason and he smiled right back at me.

"Is this something werewolves can do?" I asked dumbfounded

"No scar that's what I wanted to tell you. I figured you wouldn't believe me if I told you so I decided to show you"

"If werewolves cant do this then why can i?"

"You're speacial. What I'm about to tell you is alot to take it. Maybe we should sit down."

We walked over to a tree and sat under in some shade. He took his hand in mine.

"When I first saw you I thought you were a rogue which is someone who leaves or is banished from their pack. It was after you passed out that I realized you were my mate. When I brought you up to my room your best friend hope came in and asked what I had done to you. She also called you a human meaning she didn't smell your wolf but I could. This confused me so I went to talk with my father and he told me a story he heard from the elders. Long story short this has only happened once in our history hundreds of years ago. The mate of an alpha didnt change until she met her mate. After that she found out she had the power to heal. She then had a visit from the mood goddess herself to tell her there was gonna be an attack and her job was to keep the werewolves alive to win. I didn't believe it until just now when you confirmed your healing power. You're so speacial, you are made personally from the moon goddess."

"Wow, I uh dont know what to say to that"

Hearing him tell me this story is so unreal. As of 3 days ago I was a human. Now I'm in charge i saving the werewolf race? This is too much. I stood up and started to walk away when mason grabbed my hand.

"What's wrong? Where are you going?"

"I uh need a minute"

He let's go of my hand as I walk away. I walked to the other side of the waterfall. I found a tree to sit under and started thinking all about my life. Were my parents werewolves? Did they know about this? Do they know I'm one? Why did they keep this from me? Did they think I was a freak? Is that why they abused me?

I brought out of my thoughts when an arrow flew above my head and landed in the tree. I quickly stood up to see where it came from. A man stepped out from behind a tree with a gun in his hand. I started to turn away to make a run for it.

"I wouldn't fo that if I were you" the man said creepily.

My wolf started screaming at me to run but I was frozen still.  Too scared to run.

"I'd keep your wolf at bay too unless you want a bullet in you're head" he started walking towards me with a huge smile like he had just won some sort of prize. All I wanted to do was to scream out for Mason but he was too far to hear me. I remembered i could mind link him.

"If you want your mate to stay alive I wouldn't do that mind thing you creatures can do either. "

Once he was close enough he put his gun away and reached into his pocket for something. I took this as a chance to run..run as fast as I could.

"Help me! Mason someone is here hes chasing me and he has a.."

*bang*

I fell to the ground and darkness came over me.

I woke up back in the field where Mason had brought me. My wolf very angrily came running up to me.

"Why did you shut me out scar!? I could have ran faster than you! You should have mind linked Mason he could have saved us from those hunters! What is wrong with you!?"

"I uh I was scared evy, he had a gun!"

"Yeah a gun with wolfs bane! So dont worry were not dead just KIDNAPPED"

"I'm sorry evy I didn't know what to do!"

"Listen scar you listen to me! That's what I'm here for! From now on I'm in charge!"

With that darkness came over me.
