SCARLETT'S P.O.V

Two voices filled the room, hope and an unknown voice I've never heard before. The man told hope to stay with me while he talks to his dad. The door shut and I fluttered my eyes open.

"Hope? Where am i?"

"Hey scar, how you feeling?"

"Confused, I had the worst dream. I was walking home and a giant wolf tried to eat me"

Hope mumbles under her breath but I can still hear her.

"I'm gonna kill him"

"You heard that?"

"Yeah why?"

"Cause you shouldn't have been able to hear me. Okay just stay calm okay."

"Okay? Hope what's going on?"

"That wasnt a dream. That was real."

My heart started pounding and I started breathing fast. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Um... so what am I doing here? And why are you here?"

"I live here...I'm gonna wait and let Mason explain everything to you. He will be back soon. Until then just try to stay calm. I'll be here the whole time."

All of a sudden theres a pain in my chest. I put my hand on my chest.

"Ow!"

"What's wrong scar?"

"My chest..." another pain in my legs "ahhh it hurts" another in my arm.

"Oh no. Not now"

"what!? What do you mean not now"

Another sharp pain and its hurt even worse so I scream wishing it would stop. I looked at hope and she looked panicked. The pain continues each being worse than the last.

"MASON!" She yells for a person I dont know

Right then and man ran through the door and came over to me.

"No no no not now! Not before I could explain!" He looked sorry as if he felt bad for me. He went to pick me up and when we touched me it was like fireworks shooting through my skin. It took some of the pain away so I clung on to him hoping it would take it all away.

"Shhh it's okay, it's just temporary. It will end soon." His words for some reason calming me. He brought me outside and set me on the ground. Still holding me he continues to talk to me.

"Dont fight it sweetheart just let it pass through you. Embrace it"

I didnt know what he was talking about but I did was he said and let the pain in. My bones started cracking one by one. I continued to scream out wishing that whatever this was it would be over.

"What's happening to me" I say with my trembling voice then screamed again.

"You will know soon enough, you're doing great baby"

Baby? What is he talking about, hes not my boyfriend.

"Its okay just close your eyes, I'll be here when you wake up"

My bones continued to crack but my body became numb. I closed my eyes and let darkness take over

I woke up in a field filled with beautiful flowers. I stand up and brush off my pants. I look around and see a beautiful waterfall that flows down into a small pond. Tall trees and a wolf? I turn to run but it called out to me. It talks? Am I crazy?

"No, you're not crazy" the wolf laughs and trots over to me.

"I'm talking to a wolf yes I'm crazy!"

"Sorry let me introduce myself, my name is everleigh, evy for short. I am your wolf! And I'm so excited because this means you met our mate. I've waited so long to meet you!"

"My wolf? I have a wolf? What's a mate and what do you mean by our?"

"Okay I have so much to tell you and not much time so I'll sum it up. You are a werewolf and I am your wolf. I am apart of you. You can talk to me whenever you want to and I can talk to you whenever. A mate is the person our moon goddess gave us. He is our soul mate. Whatever you feel he feels. Whatever he feels you feel. You will know soon enough when you wake up."

"This is crazy theres no such thing as werewolves"

"Hun they are very real, but were out of time. Dont worry you're not alone"

With that I'm back on the ground with this strange man laying with his head on me. I pick my head up and look around. Everything seems so vibrant and much louder. I can hear people in the house talking.

"Wow shes beautiful, shes pure white, I've never seen it before"

I can see them looking through the window. Are they talking about me? I looked down and instead of hands I have paws. White paws. And fur! Fur? WHAT? I jump up waking the man that had his head on me. Now I'm up on all fours.

"Scarlett it's me, evy, walk around feel us out"

I start to walk around all while this man is staring at me. I growl at him. Did I just?

"Hey! Dont do that! That's our mate!"

" yeah? he doesnt need to stare at us like that"

"I dont know scar I kinda like it" she said licking her lips which made me lick my lips. What?

"Oh yeah I can control what we do too"

He just smirked at us and I huffed. He does look sexy. His smirk gets bigger.

"Yes I can read your thoughts and yes I know you just called me sexy." The strange guy that's apparently our mate just laughed. "Okay hun you need to change back. Focus on your human self."

I did what he said and next thing I know I'm me again. He wraps me in a blanket and picks me up.

"Okay strange man I can walk by myself"

"I know but i like holding you, and my name is mason by the way"

He brings me up to the room i was in before and lays me on the bed. Then grabs the clothes on the edge of the bed and hands them to me. I'm very comfortable with my body so I got up and started putting on the clothes. He looked at me surprised wich turned into lust. He started to slowly walk towards me causing me to step backwards until I hit the wall. He put his arms beside me trapping me in. His face being so close our noses could touch.

My heart started pounding. I wasnt scared of him. I want him. My breath became heavier. He slowly moved my hair to the side and whispers in my ear. "You dont want to tempt me hun. I will take you right here" that just sent shivers down my back and he pulled away. My wolf whimpers wanting him close again. I quickly put the clothes on and layed down realizing how tired I was. Mason curls up next to me as I let the darkness consume me.
